Sam slowly twirls the glass of whiskey in his hand, the substance that seems to be able to calm his turmoil mind every time. The wide and quiet living room is filled with the sound of the collided ice cubes. The morning sunlight doesn't help to warm the cold ambience of the room. Because certain someone is making space feels colder with his presence. Sam's getting impatient in waiting for his best friend to come over. What's taking him so long?

Sam hasn't met Kana for almost a week now because of his damn work. It makes his mood turns sour with each passing day. But at least Kana agreed to let Sam pick him up tomorrow morning so they can directly go to the airport together. Sam is just waiting for that time to come.

Today after his morning routine workout session, Bright suddenly called him and told him to cancel all of his afternoon meetings. His best friend said there was some information that urgently needed his attention.

And since it's regarding Kana, Sam didn't think twice and followed the demand. Besides, Sam's too curious and not patient enough to wait. He just... badly needs to know what exactly happened and what way he can avenge Kana's pain.

Despite Kana not asking, it is Sam's own desire to do so. He just... wants to torture those bastards.

His reverie is suddenly disturbed by the sound of oxford shoes tapping monotonously on the recently-polished floor. It doesn't sound like a pair. Sam sighs since he knows who's the other ones belongs to.

"Don't crease your brows like that. It'll scare Edgar away." Bright says as he walks in with a file on his hand and a Caucasian man beside him. The man has silky black hair and a pair of piercing forest green eyes. His tall bridge nose is straight and pointy. The man is a head shorter than Bright with a lean body covered in an all-black outfit. His chiselled jaw clenches the moment he sees Sam.

Edgar, or at least that's what people call him, is not a fan of the arrogant Chantaviriyavit. The man is very hypocritical in his opinion, judging from his perspective of knowing each other for these recent 5 years. He was able to tolerate Sam though because of Bright's sake.

"Nice meeting you again, Sakda." Edgar sneer at the said Chantaviriyavit.

Sam ignores the remarks and turns to look at his friend with one eyebrow raise, "He doesn't look scared to me."

Bright just awkwardly laughs and nudge his lover, "Don't try to pick a fight here, babe. I'll buy you wagyu beef later."

Edgar scoff at his tall lover, "Don't treat me like a fucking dog. You always try to bribe me with meat."

Bright pull's the shorter's sleeve, "Aw babe! That's not what I mean. I just don't want to see you get hurt."

"You think I will lose to this motherfucker? I'm not that weak!" Edgar retorts.

"But-"

"Enough." Sam's cold voice cuts their bickering. He clicks his tongue in annoyance and motions them to sit down. His onyx eyes don't look like he can tolerate any kind of jokes, making the other gulp at the same time.

Both of them obediently sits in front of the domineering man, or more like Bright dragging the shorter guy to sit at the same side. Bright then put the file on the coffee table that is placed between their seat while saying, "These are the documents about the couple. I manage to find their name, age, and address." then he gulps, preparing himself for Sam's reactions. He adds, "I also add a couple of documents regarding the adoption and found some oddities on them. A lot actually."
