As if the world makes an effort to stop its time, the surrounding feels like going in slow-motion. Memories of the past continue to replay like a broken record as each other eyes seem to act as a projector to one another. Pictures of their once happier life appear one by one as if it mocking their current state of separation. And with the passing of time continuing and keep jumbling of their mind, Sam's the first one who finally cracks and shows the inside of his heart. His eyes begin to soften and emit another emotion, replacing the once hard gaze with something more... delicate.

Hurt. The first word Kana sees in Sam's gaze. It shows immense pain, making the younger feel a pang of guilt the longer he gazes at those onyx orbs. But he's aware that it is a must to not falter. If he wants to stay happy and well, it is best to let go and... be alone.

Kana forces a smile before greeting back, trying his best to not sound sad or give any hint of longing, "Maybe not for you, but it is nice to see you again, Sam."

Sam... he calls me Sam. Despite only a calling of his name, Sam can feel the younger is setting a distance between them. Eden... didn't call him the same as he used to. The latter still emits the overwhelming warm aura around him. But, Sam can feel a slight change in it. The boy is still the same person, yet he also seems different from the one in the past.

Sam takes a look at the young adult version of his past crush. The boy has grown taller, even taller than himself. The younger was always has a lean figure, but the older version of him looks slimmer than Sam remembers. His middle-length raven hair complements his pretty yet masculine features. The thick eyebrows, pointy nose, doe eyes, and those plump chestnut lips are now more prominent. The older version of Eden looks more beautiful than the last time Sam remembered.

"Eden--"

"It's Kana. My name is Kana." the younger cuts him off.

He even changed his name.

Sam begins to wonder if this is still the same person. Was this beautiful man... the boy who loved to read underneath the lone tree? The one who has those dazzling set of doe eyes and the warmest smile? The one who haunts his mind every night for the past 7 years.

As the swirling thought continues to fill his mind, Sam attempts to let it out with a sigh and decides to cut the distance between them. And with him getting closer, Kana is resisting and makes an attempt the widen the distance again by stepping backwards.

But much to his luck, Kana can't go any further the moment his lower back press on the stone fence of the River Thames. The boy was trying to move sideways but Sam being faster, traps the boy in between his veiny arms. Now that he's successfully trapped the bewildered pretty boy, Sam continues his advance and moves even closer.

The panic Kana doesn't have any option left but to push the older by the chest with his dainty hands, attempting to widen the distance again as he gave a warning with his stare, "Sam."

But being dominant in nature, Sam ignores the warning and continues to move his body forward, eventually pressing himself towards Kana. The younger keeps pushing, but Sam refuses to budge and continues to press on.

And Kana, being the weaker side, curses both his thin body and mind for not being able to resist the adonis of a man in front of him.

"Please, don't do this Sam," Kana finally begs with his doe eyes, desperate to be away from the other. The lack of a gap begins to give the fluttering feeling, the ever-familiar heat erupts from the bottom of his stomach as it continues to fill the crack of his broken heart. The feeling manages to stop his attempt to escape, but the rational mind of consequences alarmed him to not surrender to the temptation.
