There's a feeling as if he gets drenched in cold water as soon as he hears Mike's confession. Dark thoughts that were hiding suddenly resurface as the memory that he had badly wanted to forget starts to replay in his mind. Kana can feel his hands again, crawling and burning the surface of his skin. The phantom feeling begins to itch and incite a sudden urge to scratch it.

Kana needs to build his wall again. He needs to escape.

Kana immediately stands up from his seat before turning to walk away. But Mike grabs his wrist to prevent him to take another step. The younger turns to find Mike already looking back with the same gentle gaze as the word keeps repeating in his mind.

It seems I have fallen in love with you.  I have fallen in love. Fallen in love.

"Please, let go," Kana mutters while trying to pull his hand away from the grasp. 

But instead of following, Mike tightens his grip before looking at Kana in concern, "Did I say something wrong?"

Kana forcefully pulls his hand once more and yells directly to Mike's face, "HOW COULD YOU SAY YOU LOVE ME SO EASILY?!!" 

Mike lets go of his hold feeling surprised at the harsh rejection. Confused about what's happening, he can feel the warm Kana turning into a very distant and cold person. The pretty man's doe eyes let out a gaze that is piercing, prickling, and... hurt.

With chestnut lips trembling, Kana mutters a word, "Disgusting," before grabbing his messenger bag and leaving.

Mike stood on his seat in shock. He's still confused about what just happened. Why did Kana just switch to a person he didn't recognize? He is even more surprised when he heard that one word from such a gentle young writer.

Disgusting

The word struck a hurt feeling in his chest. Obviously, Mike feels hurt and offended by such a harsh word. But he admit that it was also partially his fault as he just blurted out his confession without minding Kana's sexuality. Of course, the latter won't take it nicely. Kana might be offended because Mike draws his own conclusion and thought the other is gay.

Mike should've been more sensitive. He should've been more considerate. But it's too late now.

Vin, who heard Kana's yell earlier, comes to the studio in worry, "Why? What's wrong? Where's Kana?" He approaches and looks around.

Mike that just came back from shock replies in a little stutter, "I-I... I don't know... at first he seems fine then suddenly he goes mad." he says while still looking lost.

"Where is he, Mike?" Vin asks again while looking at Mike properly.

"Uh... He left just now. Sorry if I startled you as I didn't really know what just happened either. At first, he was fine, then suddenly he goes mad at me." Mike scratch his not-itchy nape, awkwardly apologizing to Vin.

Vin's intuition has been proven right as he already witnesses their early interaction, where Mike eyed Kana lovingly. He just hopes this man didn't blatantly say what he predicted. But judging from the way Kana acts, it's obvious. Vin asks Mike in a serious voice, "Did you do something like, confess to him?"

Mike turns his head to Vin with a slight blush on his face, "Uh, yeah. I blurted it out without thinking. I must've offended him. I'm sorry as I didn't know whether he likes men or not."
