Unexpected

Way back home.

The residents from Seattle Grace Mercy West all met up in the lounge. "How do you guys think you did" Jackson asked. "Well I think I did pretty well but J don't know I'm panicking still" April said in her high pitched voice. "I think I did semi good" Alex said. "Oh I rocked the boards" Cristina added. "I think I did ok"Jackson said. "Mer what about you" Jackson asked. "Uhm well considering that I puked during one of the rounds, I think I did ok" She said. Meredith still felt like crap. She was ready to get home to Derek. They took the bus to the airport and then got on the plane. Meredith was sat in between Alex and Cristina. Cristina was looking through a magazine and Alex was sitting looking out the window. "How are you feeling" Alex asked Meredith. "Uhm I still feel a little nauseous. But I'm mostly tired" she answered. "You can sleep" Alex said to her. "I can never get comfortable on a plane. My head needs to rest." Meredith answered. "Well, I have an empty shoulder. It won't bother me, your sick. I'm your friend and I need to take care of you" Alex said. "Really?" Meredith said. "Yes you need some sleep". Alex replied. Meredith fell asleep on Alex's shoulder. Next thing she knew they were landing. Meredith ran off the plane. She needed to see Derek, she missed him so so so much. "Mer, are you going to get sick again" Cristina asked. "No I'm running to Derek I miss him so so so much" she replied. "Ok I'll see you tonight at the party right" Cristina asked. "Yeah I'll be there if I feel ok." Meredith replied. Meredith walked to the terminal where Derek was going to be at. "Derek" she said loudly as she ran towards him. "Hey honey, how are you?" He asked. "Good, I just really really missed you" she said trying not to cry. "Let's go home you feel warm" Derek said. Meredith agreed. They got in the car and headed home. "Do you think you passed" Derek asked. "I mean I puked during on of the rounds but yeah I think I did good." She replied. "I'm just so tired I was able to sleep on the plane since Alex let me use his shoulder as a head rest" Meredith said laughing. "Well let's get you home and get you a bubble bath." Derek said. He wanted his wife to feel better. He also wanted to spoil her. He missed her so much.
