Meredith was now 18 weeks pregnant. Other people started suspecting since she had a little baby bump. She had a appointment with The OB today, they were going to find out the gender. "Are you ready for today" Derek asked as he wrapped his arms around Meredith and the baby bump. "Yeah, I'm just nervous" Meredith replied. "Everything will be ok I promise" Derek said as he kissed her cheek. "We have to go" Meredith said as she walked out of the house. They got in the car and pulled out of the driveway as they made way towards the hospital. When they arrived Meredith felt her stomach twist. She was afraid that something is wrong with her baby. They got in the hospital and went up to OB. They got into the exam room. Meredith laid down on the table putting her legs up. Then there was a knock on the door. "Hi Meredith" Dr Herman said. "Hello" Meredith replied as she grabbed Dereks hand. "So today we are going to do an ultrasound to see how the baby is doing and the gender" Dr Herman stated. "Ok" Meredith said. Dr Herman applied the gel to Merediths stomach as she moved around. "Ok Meredith both babies look fine" Dr Herman said. Derek and Meredith looked at each other. "Both?" They asked. "Yes, you're having twins" Dr Herman replied. "Really" Meredith said as she kissed Derek. "Ok Baby A is a girl" Dr Herman said. "And Baby B is a boy" she said. "A girl and a boy" Derek said happily. "We are having twins, a boy and a girl" Meredith said as she kissed Derek. "We are" Derek said sounding excited. "Okay Meredith, you and the babies look perfectly fine. Do you have any questions?" Dr Herman asked. "Nope" Meredith said. "Ok then I'll be on my way. Congratulations have a good day" Dr Herman said as she left the room. Meredith got up and quickly ran and hugged Derek. "I can't believe it" Meredith said as she looked in his blue dreamy eyes. Meredith and Derek left the OBs office and headed to work. "I love you" Meredith said as she went towards the nurses station. "Love you too" Derek said as he walked towards the attendings Lounge. "You seem happy today" Cristina said as she walked next to Mer. "It's a good day, we found out we are having-." Meredith quickly paused as she heard the words come out of her mouth. "Meredith are you pregnant" Cristina asked. "Yes I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was scared I was going to miscarriage but we had an appointment with the OB today and the babies are fine" Meredith said. "It's ok wait babies?" Cristina asked. "Yes we are having twins 1 boy 1 girl" Meredith said as she looked in her persons eyes. "Wow, congratulations so what your have far along?" Cristina asked. "18 weeks" Meredith said as she stared at the ground. "What how did you keep it hidden?" Cristina asked as she looked at Merediths stomach. "I got bigger scrubs" Meredith said as she got paged. "Do not tell anyone please" Meredith said as she walked away.
