Unexpected

Family

Derek was waiting for his family to arrive. He took Zola home for a bit so they could meet his family there. When Derek walked in the house he told Zola to go to her room and pick some outfits out. He walked towards the kitchen and saw the note that Meredith wrote. His stomach twisted and turned because the memory of that night. He then walked to their bathroom and saw the blood still on the shower floor. He quickly turned the shower on and cleaned the blood up. He heard a knock on the door and answered it. "Hey stranger" Amelia said. "Hey guys. I'm so happy you could come" Derek said to his family. "When can we meet them" Carolyn asked. "Well they are still at the hospital with Meredith. Let me grab Zola and we can leave" Derek said as he walked up the stairs. Derek got Zola and walked down the stairs. "Ok she's ready let's go" Derek said as they walked out of the door. They all got in the car and drove to the hospital. When they got to the hospital they put Zola in daycare and went to the room Meredith was in. She was no longer in the ICU she was now in a regular room. "Hey Meredith" Carolyn said as she walked in the room. "Hey guys" Meredith said happily. "Oh my gosh I heard you cut yourself open" Nancy said sounding concerned. "Yeah. I wanted my babies to have two legs and live you know?" Meredith sighed. "Yeah that was a strong move to make. I couldn't have done it" Amelia sighed. "Derek grab the babies" Meredith said. Derek left the room and went to the nursery to get the babies. He brought them down to Merediths room. "Guys. Meet Bailey Grey-Shepherd and Ellis Grey-Shepherd Ellie for short" Derek said as he walked into the room. "Oh my gosh" Carolyn said as she walked over to grab one of the twins. "They are so beautiful" Carolyn said. "Can I hold the other one" Amelia asked. "Yes but after you hold them give the babies to Nancy and Kathleen" Derek replied. Amelia took the other baby and rocked it back in fourth. "Oh my they are perfect. I love them" Amelia said. Amelia and Carolyn held the babies for 15 minutes then gave them to Nancy and Kathleen. They both basically said the same thing that Amelia and Carolyn said. After they all got to hold the babies they went back to Meredith and Dereks house so they could sleep for the night. Meredith and the babies still had to stay at the hospital for a bit so she was left alone. She didn't like to be left alone. She could barely move without pain. Meredith started crying and having a panic attack because she didn't want to be alone without her husband and her babies weren't even allowed in the same room as her unless Derek was there. Meredith was breathing heavily when Bailey opened the door. "Grey what's wrong calm down" Bailey said as she walked in the room. "I- can't move without pain and I can't have my babies in the same room as me unless Derek is here so I'm alone" Meredith sobbed. "Hey Meredith it's ok. I can stay here with you for a bit. I know it sucks being alone without your babies or husband but sometimes we have to be alone" Bailey said as she sat down next to Meredith. "Yeah I guess" she replied. "Thank you Bailey you're one of the best friend I could ask for. I just want to go home" Meredith said. "I know but you cut yourself open to save your babies" Bailey said as he placed his hand on hers. "Get some sleep Grey" Bailey said as she stayed seated. Meredith ended up falling asleep and sleeping until Derek came by the next day. "Hey. Meredith, Bailey told me you might be able to go tomorrow. It seems like you are healing much faster then most patients" Derek said as he put his hand on his wife's thigh. "That's amazing. I can't wait" Meredith sighed.

Sorry this chapter is kinda short and boring. I'm out of ideas so can you guys help me? I'm not really sure what to write. Thank you for all of the support on the last couple of chapter! Pleas let me know if you have any ideas.
