Unexpected

Visitors

Derek took Zola and Ellis to the cafeteria for some dinner when he got a text from his mom. 'We just landed. Shoud be at the hospital in 20 mins' the text read. "Ok girls hurry up Grandma and your aunts will be here soon" Derek smiled. "Ok" Zola smiled. Ellis noddded her head. After they finished their dinner, they made their way back to Baileys room. When they entered they saw bailey throwing up. "aww Bails" Meredith said rubbing his back. After about 5 minutes of puking he stopped. "Are you okay" Ellis asked. "yeah just not feeling well" Bailey sighed. Then, there was a knock on door. "Ellis go open the door please" Derek said. "ok" Ellis smiled and jumped down off the bed and made her way towards the door. She opened the door and screamed when she saw who was there. "Auntie Amelia" She said reaching her arms out. "Hi Ellis" Amelia smiled. Then Dereks other sisters and mom come in. "hello" Carolyn said. "hi mom" Derek smiled. Everyone was concerened about Bailey so they kept asking him how he was doing and how he felt. And it didnt help that the whole family was basicaly doctors. Meredith just stayed silent the whole time Dereks family was there. She never felt welcomed or respected by his sisters. His mother was ok but his judgy sisters werent. "excuse me" Meredith said as she left the room. She hasnt eaten a meal in a while and she hasnt gotten sleep. Meredith walked out into the hallway and sat down on the ground with her knees up towards her stomach silently crying. She heard Baileys hospital room door opened. She tried to wipe away her tears before the person who walked out could see but nope. "Mer" Amelia said as she sat on the floor next to her "whats wrong" she asked. "I- Im just so tired and- worried about Bailey I cant do this" Meredith sobbed. "Hey its okay. I would say dont worry but thats crap, hes your son who is really sick. But hes strong hes a Grey-Shepherd" Amelia exclaimed trying to make Meredith feel better. "Thank you Amelia" Mer sighed. "Anytime, its nice having a sister who I can reate to" Amelia smiled. For the first time Meredith felt welcomed by one of Dereks sisters. She stood up and walked back into Baileys crowded room. It was almost 9 so Bailey and Ellis and Zola needed to go to bed. "Ok guys as much as I love having you and how much the kids love having you we should probably get back to the house for the night" Derek smiled. "okay. Bye Bailey and Meredith" Carolyn said as she kissed Baileys head. "Bye" Meredith and Bailey both said. After Derek and his sisters and his mom and the girls left, Meredith crawled into bed with Bailey. "Mommy" Bailey sighed. "whats up" she asked. "Why did they come to seattle" Bailey asked. "They wanted to see everyone" Meredith replied rubbing his head. "Its not because I am sick and might not get better" He asked. "well thats one reason they came down also but they did want to see everyone. And I dont want you to worry about not getting better because you have good doctors" Meredith said. "ok mommy im tired" he said. "Get some sleep" Meredith said as she kissed his head."I love you but im going to go get something to eat. If you need aything press that red button and a nurse will come and if you need me press the red button and tell the nurse you need me" Meredith smiled. "I love you too and ok"  He replied closing his eyes. Meredith left the room and made her way to the bathroom quick enough before she puked. All this stress was getting to her. After she puked she went to the Cafeteria to eat a salad. After she ate she went back up to Baileys room so she could try and get some sleep. But she could tell by the feeling in her stomach and the thoughts in her head that it was going to be a long night.
