Unexpected

Meredith and Derek have been fighting lately because Meredith is upset that Derek has been spending all his time at the hospital working in the Alzheimer's trial . He hasn't been the person she married. "Derek, are you going to sleep at home tonight or at the hospital" Mer asked. "I need to go to the hospital. My trial needs me" Derek sighed. "Of course. I don't know why I asked I already knew the answer" she sighed. "Meredith don't act like that. This trial is everything to me." Derek said quietly because Zola was sleeping. "EVERYTHING?" Meredith screamed. "THATS EVERYTHING TO YOU?" She didn't even care if Zola woke up. "Meredith, yes it's your disease I'm trying to find a cure so you do not die, so you can live to remember your kids. Do you want to remember our kids? They will want to remember you" Derek sighed. "OF COURSE I WANT TO REMEMBER OUR KIDS BUT IM 3 WEEKS AWAY FROM MY DUE DATE WITH 2 OUT OF 3 OF OUR KIDS. WOULDN'T THAT BE CONSIDERED SOMETHING MAYBE EVEN EVERYTHING TO YOU?" She screamed. "Meredith I'm not fighting with you tonight. Zola is awake I'm guessing so I will take her to daycare and she can sleep there while you get a good nights rest. You know before our twins come. I love you but I'm not fighting with you over every little thing. I shouldn't have to." Derek said loudly as he slammed the door and got Zola. Meredith sat on the bed and put her head in her hands. She heard Derek shut the front door so she knew he left. She laid down and quickly fell asleep with her mind full. It was only 10 pm and she was passed out.
Derek and Meredith were fighting about the trial. Meredith told Derek to leave her alone and that she was leaving and going to the hospital. Derek grabbed her shoulder and pushed her into the wall. Merediths abdomen filled with pain as she felt blood spread down her thighs. "Derek please the babies your hurting them" she pleaded. "I'm not trying to hurt them I'm trying to hurt you" he said angrily. "Well your not hurting me so stop" she screamed. "Hurting our babies will hurt you won't it?" He questioned. "Yes but please don't-." She said as he kicked her in the stomach.
Meredith woke up breathing heavily looking around the room. She read the clock and it said 2 am. She didn't know why she was having a nightmare about Derek hurting her and the babies but she did. She couldn't sleep so she got up and went towards the kitchen. She grabbed a water and then went to the stairs. As she was half way up the stairs a sharp pain spread across her abdomen. "Guys, it's ok. It was just a nightmare you don't need to kick so hard. Daddy will be back soon" Meredith said as she rubbed her stomach. She was able to go back to sleep for 30 minutes until she felt the pain again. She sat up and put her hand on her stomach. "It's ok" she sighed. She sat up and played on her phone and 30 minutes again the pain returned. "Ouch" Meredith sighed. This one was much stronger and hurt a bunch. Meredith quickly stood up. She didn't think she was in labor because her water hasn't broke she just thought It was strong kicks. Meredith went to the bathroom and took a warm shower. When she got out she dried off and put pajamas on. That's when Meredith felt water spread down her thighs. Her water broke. "Crap" Meredith said as another contraction hit. She grabbed her phone that wasn't charging so it was only at 1 percent. She needs to call Derek. She picked up the phone and dialed Dereks number. No answer. It went to voicemail. "Derek. Please my water just broke and I'm in labor. I'm so sorry about earlier. Please come home my phone is going to die I need-." That's all Meredith could say until her phone died. "Damn it, uhh I swear why me" Meredith screamed as another contraction hit her. Meredith needed to check how dilated  she was. She grabbed a mirror and horror shot through her body when she saw her babies leg. "Oh no- no no no" she screamed. "No" she fell to the ground crying. She needed to get her babies out if she wanted them to live.
