(TW THIS CHAPTER TALKS ABOUT CUTTING AND KNIVES SO PLEASE SKIP IF YOU CANT DEAL WITH IT)

Meredith was trying to think fast before her babies leg lost its pulse. She ran to the kitchen with pain in her abdomen. She opened the drawer and grabbed a knife. "What am I doing" Meredith sighed. "I'm saving my babies. I'm saving my babies" she repeated. She then grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and started writing. 'Derek, I'm sorry. My water broke around 3 am I called you and left a voicemail. I checked how dilated I was and saw one of our babies legs. I need to save these babies. I love you so much remember that. Take care of our babies please, let them know their mother went out fighting for them. I love you so much do not be afraid to move on and marry someone else.' She quickly wrote. She ran around the house grabbing supplies like blankets, alcohol, and dish towels to pack her stomach. She went to the bathroom and laid down in the shower as she cut open her stomach like she would've done for a c-section. Her screams filled the house as she put her hand inside her stomach and cut her uterus open. Meredith stuck her hand in her stomach and pulled one of her babies out. Then she pulled her baby who's leg was showing. She felt lightheaded as she grabbed both of her babies and wrapped them in blankets. "It's- ok" she said as she held the babies close. "Daddy will take care of you, I promise he will- make sure you are taken care of but never forget I- love- you-." Meredith said as she became unconscious.
*At the hospital with Derek*
Derek was so pissed at Mer they had a big fight and he felt so bad. He ended up falling asleep but woke up around 3 am to his phone ringing. It was Meredith. He didn't answer and he fell back asleep. He ended up waking up to his pager going off for a patient with a brain tumor at 4 am. He checked his phone and saw a voicemail from Meredith. He listened to it and his jaw dropped. "Shepherd what is going on" Bailey said. "Listen" Derek said as he played the voicemail out loud. "When did she call you?" Bailey asked. "3 am about an hour ago" Derek said realizing he need to get home. "I'm coming with you Derek you can't drive" Bailey said as they walked out of the hospital. "Ok let's go" they got in the car and drove to the dream house Derek quickly got out and unlocked the door Bailey followed him. "MEREDITH" Derek screamed for his wife. They couldn't find her anywhere. "We need to find her" Derek said as he walked around the main floor of their house looking in every room. Bailey was walking around the living room and made her way towards the kitchen. "Derek" Bailey said as she saw the note. "What" he asked out of breath. "There's a note" she sighed. Derek and Bailey read the note looking at each other concerned. "What does that mean" Derek asked. "I think she tried to deliver your babies" Bailey said as she stared at Dereks worried eyes. They both ran upstairs looking around for Meredith. Both Bailey and Derek walked into Meredith and Dereks bedroom at the same time hearing babies crying. They looked around the bedroom and saw nothing then opened their master bathroom door. Panic took over both Bailey and Derek when they looked in the shower. Meredith was on the shower floor holding her 2 babies unconscious with a huge cut down her stomach and a knife next to her. "Bailey grab the babies" Derek yelled. Bailey got down and grabbed both of the babies as Derek got down to check Merediths pulse. "MER, MER DONT GIVE UP THOSE BABIES NEED YOU, I NEED YOU, ZOLA NEEDS YOU PLEASE" Derek screamed "Derek does she have a pulse" Bailey asked as she walked back and fourth with the babies in her arms. "Yes but barely" he replied. "Derek, take your babies and I will deal with your wife. And call 911 and tell them we need them ASAP" Bailey yelled as she gave Derek his twins. Bailey got down on the floor and packed Meredith with some dish towels and covered her with a blanket to keep her warm while the ambulance was on Its way.
