Unexpected

It'll be ok.

Meredith and Derek were laying in bed after their day at work. They were talking about their day and other exciting things coming up while they cuddled in bed. Derek was holding Meredith, her head resting on his chest, his one arm around her back and the other one on her baby bump. "Did the baby just kick" Derek asked "yeah why?" Meredith replied. "I felt it, this is the first time I have felt her kick" he smiled kissing Meredith on her forehead. "Derek" Meredith said in a shaky voice. Derek could see her expression change he knew something was upsetting or scaring her. "What's wrong?" He asked. "You know how Arizona was like talking about how the baby is sitting on a certain angle and that hopefully she would rotate before I'm due?" She asked. "Yeah.." he said waiting for her to continue. "And if she doesn't rotate I will have to have a c-section" She sighed. He knew exactly where she was going with this. "Mer it'll be okay, even if you have to have a c-section everything will be okay" Derek replied rubbing her back "I can't have a c-section Derek, not after last time. If I have to have a c-section I'm going to need sedated. I can't do it" she said clearly scared. "Let's not worry until we have something to worry about. And we won't so we don't need to worry" Derek assured. Meredith nodded moving around a bit. "I'm tired, how about we sleep" Derek said smiling. Meredith agreed and Derek soon fell asleep. It wasn't easy for Meredith to fall asleep thinking about possibly needing to have a c-section. She knows she would be safe in the hospital hopefully but she still was scared from last time. She looked at the clock, it was only midnight she thought it was later. She closed her eyes trying to get some sleep when she heard crying from the babies room. She got up trying not to wake Derek and got to their nursery as fast as possible so the other baby, Derek and Zola wouldn't wake up. She saw Ellis was the baby that was crying and picked her up. She took her to the living room and walked around a little bit rocking Ellis back and forth slowly trying to get her to fall back asleep. Soon enough Ellis was passed out in Merediths arms. Meredith couldn't help but smile at her beautiful daughter who weirdly looked like her. In a good way of course. She had the eyes, even if she got Dereks eyes she would've had amazing eyes, and the not too long blonde hair. "You're so pretty" Meredith whispered as she kissed her daughters head. Meredith then took Ellis back to her room and laid her down in her crib. She watched her and then headed back to her and Dereks room. She crawled into bed, making Derek stir a bit, and got under the blankets. Soon enough she was able to fall asleep. For now she wouldn't worry about having to have a c-section, she was just going to focus on the rest of her pregnancy and her baby girl that she would see soon enough.

This chapter is horrible and short but idc 😋 I hope you like it though. I really need some suggestions about what to do for further chapters. I keep getting the suggestion about doing a baby shower, which I will do at some point but I'm wanting to wait a bit farther in the story for that. So I need some suggestions that don't include a baby shower please.
