Unexpected

The morning

It was around 6 am. Meredith and Derek both had the day off so they could sleep in. But Meredith just couldn't she woke up feeling like crap again. She got up lightheaded as usual. She was about to pass out and puke. She ran to the bathroom. She closed the door so when she puked she wouldn't wake her husband. She held her hair back as she threw up again. 3 days in a a row. "What the hell is happening to me" she said quietly as she puked again. Apparently she was really loud because she woke up Derek. "Mer, are you okay" Derek asked. "This is what happened to me the last 2 days" she sighed. Derek took Merediths hair as he put his hand on her back. Meredith was now crying. Derek could only imagine how much pain she was in. "Hey, it's ok. Calm down." Derek said as he rubbed her back and held her hair. "I'm trying. I don't know what is wrong with me." She said quietly. "Go lay down. I'll bring a trash bag over to you just incase you need to puke again" Derek said. "Thank you" Meredith said. "Do you want to watch a movie and cuddle" Derek asked. "Yes please" Meredith answered. Derek put on a movie and held Meredith close. "Your burning up" Derek said as he pressed his hand against Merediths forehead. "I know" she said. "And you look really pale" He added. "I know" she said. Derek got up to go use the bathroom. As he was washing his hands, he heard Meredith scream "ow" he ran into the room. Meredith was holding her stomach as she sobbed in pain. "Der, I don't know what's wrong. My chest- it hurts really bad." She said gasping for air. "Meredith" Derek said panicking. He picked her up and took her to the car. "Derek." Meredith said quietly. "It's ok Mer, we are almost at the hospital. "HUNT" Derek yelled across the ER "I need a gurney now. It's Meredith." Derek said . Owen brought a gurney out as Derek picked Meredith up out of the backseat. "Meredith explain what's wrong please" Owen asked. "Well I have been puking all morning from around 6 till 12 am, I have had a fever of 100+ but that went down after I stopped puking. I have been dizzy and now today I have had really bad chest pains by my ribs I could barely breathe." Meredith said as she winced in pain. "Ok let's get some blood drawn please" Owen said loudly. "Der I'm scared" Meredith said with tears in her eyes. "It's ok you will be ok I promise" Derek said as he grabbed her and and rubbed her face. "Woah Mer" Alex said as he walked into her trauma room. "Let me see her chart" Alex implied as he took it from a nurse. "Mer, you know all these symptoms are symptoms of being pregnant. I mean other then the chest pains" Alex said as he smirked. Derek looked at Mer. "Der don't worry I'm not pregnant. I can't be and If Alex implies that I might be pregnant again, then there will be no Alex because I'm not pregnant." Meredith said as she looked up at the ceiling. "Derek..." she said. "What is it" he said quietly. "What if I'm pregnant" Meredith said as she looked at him with a kinda worried look on her face. "Meredith I have your blood tests back" Owen said as he entered the room.
