Results (Part 2)

It been 30 minutes since Owen left us in this room so I could get hydrated again. "So did the baby look healthy?" Meredith asked Derek because she didn't get a good look at the screen. "Well your only 4 weeks there's not much to see really. But it looked like a small embryo." Derek said as he rubbed Merediths back. "That's good" Meredith sighed. "Yeah" Derek replied as he stared into Merediths sparkly eyes. Owen finally came back into the room. "So Meredith, I know your worried about miscarrying again. I'm going to schedule you an appointment with me for every 2 weeks of your first trimester." Owen said calmly. "Really, thank you so much" Meredith said. "You guys should be able to go home. Make sure you drink water and eat some food." Owen said. "Ok will do" Mer replied. Derek got Meredith situated in the car. It's been a while since Derek said anything. "Hey, you ok?" Mer asked Derek. "Yeah I'm just, extremely happy. I just don't know how to show it because I know you are still nervous" Derek said. "Hey, it's our baby, I'm excited too. Yes I have some nerves but still I'm really excited." Meredith replied as she leaned into a kiss. "How are you going to tell the others?" Derek asked. "I'm not, they will know when I start to show, then I'll act like I didn't know" Meredith replied. "But why" Derek asked. "Alex has been telling me I'm pregnant since the boards I denied it , and Cristina will make fun of me saying "I can't wait to meet Mcbaby" and I don't want to listen to them say anything. They say you and me do it all the time, which is kinda true but not true. The last time we did it was 4 weeks ago so in their face." Meredith said. "Alright" Derek sighed. They finally pulled in the driveway. "Dang it Alex is home" Meredith sighed as she walked up to the door. Meredith went in her house and sat down on the couch. "Hey Mer, what was wrong with you" Alex asked. "I was dehydrated. I forgot to drink water" Mer said quietly. "Wow I totally thought you were pregnant" Alex said as he walked away. "ALEX IM ABOUT TO KILL YOU" Meredith screamed. Derek came over and put his hand on her thigh. "It's ok Mer" He said quietly. "I'm going upstairs" Mer said as she ran towards the stairs. Derek 5 minutes later decided to go upstairs. As he walked up he saw his bedroom door was shut. He opened it quietly and saw Meredith crying on the bathroom floor. "Mer what's wrong" he said as he went to comfort her. "It's just, I don't think I'm ready to be a parent any time soon" She replied as she cried even more.
