Chapter 108 - group voting

Readers POV

You slowly open your eyes as you lay in bed to see it's pretty early and the other two are asleep. Your still really sleepy and you shut your eyes again to try and go back to sleep.

It's too bright.

You open them again and decide to just get ready. You slowly unclamp your arm from jacks grip. You sit on the floor and slip your shoes on. You fling your jacket on and get hold of the door handle.

Clem: Y/N?

You hear her whisper. You let go and walk over to her side of the bed and squat down.

You: hey. Good morning.

You whisper not to wake jack and clem looks pretty sleepy still as well.

Clem: what time is it?

You: I've just got up myself. It's pretty early.

Clem: why are you getting up?

You: I can't go back to sleep. It's to bright.

Clem: ok I'll get up too.

You: no you don't have too. You need to rest anyway after you got hurt.

Clem: it's not even that bad.

You: what do you mean? You got stabbed. Just go back to sleep and I'll see you later.

Clem: how come when I get hurt you force me to stay in bed but when you get hurt you get up as soon as possible.

You: because I care about you more than I care about myself. And I'm not forcing you. You're tired so go back to sleep.

Clem: how do you know I'm tired?

You: you don't have your eyes open.

She smiles.

You: I'm going to go and talk to that dude. See if he has a group. I'll wait for everyone else to ask the other questions.

Clem: ok be careful.

You: sleep well clem.

You kiss her on the forehead and get back up. You walk over to the door and let yourself out carefully shutting the door behind you.

You walk down the hall and step outside but as you do you spot Marlon sat on his own at the couches. He poking at floor with a stick.

You: Marlon?

Marlon jumps.

Marlon: fuck me don't sneak up on me like that.

You: sorry I just didn't expect anyone to be up.

Marlon: yeah Louis was on watch until like 3 am. I took over for him. He came and woke me up.

You: that was nice of you. You can go back to bed now if you want. Now I'm up.

Marlon: no I'm good. I can't sleep when it's light out anyway.

You: same.

Marlon: so what are you doing up?

You: well I woke up like 5 minutes ago and I couldn't go back to sleep because it was light. I've decided I'm going to interrogate that dude about his group if he even has one.

Marlon: shouldn't we wait for everyone else.

You: well the plan was if he has a group we wake everyone up and start preparing. If he doesn't we'll let everyone sleep and we'll wait for everyone else to ask any more questions.
