Chapter 90 - arrival

You wake up to the sound of chatter outside. As you look around you realise you are alone in the room.

You: shit, slept in.

You gather your things and put them in your bag. You decide to go out one of the side doors onto the train compartment itself.

It's sunny outside and it's a little after dawn.

Louis: no you've got to believe me he was talking in his sleep.

Finley: what was he saying?

Louis: I don't know but I leaned over to wake him up-

Finley: come on don't wake him up. He's been through a lot and most the time he can hardly sleep. After the shit he's told me and I've seen I'm not surprised he talks in his sleep.

You decide to sit and listen to what Louis has to say. Could be useful information. You lean and rest your arms on the metal support beams and look at your feet.

Louis: you aren't listening. I WENT to wake him up. All of a sudden he rolls over and his eyes where open!

Marlon: so he was awake. Big shocker Louis great horror story.

Marlon says sarcastically.

You definitely weren't awake or at least you don't remember it.

Louis: his eyes where orange.

Erin: his eyes change colours and you are more afraid of them being a solid colour.

Louis: marlon will understand. His left eye was fully black.

You look up from your feet and look at Louis. You see max stood behind him with a huge grin. Max looks at you and runs a finger along louis' neck before disappearing.

Marlon drops something.

Marlon: you're lying.

Louis: no he had orange irises with fully black eyes. Even the bit that's meant to be white.

Marlon: this is bad, like bad bad.

Erin: what the fuck is wrong with that. Maybe that's what happens when he sleeps. Of course it's weird.

Marlon: Finley is your gun loaded.

Finley: woah woah woah!!! What the fuck are you trying to say?!

Finley stands up and looks ready to square up.

Marlon: shhhhh you might wake him up.

Louis: listen I know he's your friend but what might come out of that trailer isn't him.

Finley: I thought he was your friend too.

Louis: he is it's just you've not seen what this guy can do.

Erin: ok stop with the cryptic shit and tell us what's going on.

Marlon: fine. Last time we saw this was after he'd been gone for about a week. He sacrificed himself and we all thought he'd died. Well everyone except clem of course. All of a sudden his dog comes running in and we follow it through the woods. He led us right to him.

Louis: we found him slumped against a boulder. Clem tried to wake him up but when he opened his eyes they looked exactly like a walkers. Every jumped back obviously. Clem began crying and then he sort of looked away in shame which shocked us. The he attacked jack and clem tried to shoot him but she missed.

Finley: so you are telling me was a walker?

Marlon: that's not the half of it. He stood up and his eyes changed black with an orange iris and he pulled the gun out of clems hand and he went to attack her. He went to bite her so I kicked him off and he pointed the gun at me.
