Chapter 47 - chaos rises

You: I should have shot you were you stood. I kept you alive just so you could kill these innocent people.

Rhys: you're not innocent though are you...

He says this with a smug grin and a swooning voice.

Man: I'm the new leader and he came and found us. He told us everything that happened.

Rhys: I also have some new information for you. He's not the only wanted whitetail here. This is Lewis who is Y/N's best friend and Clem his girlfriend. The two children here are also whitetails.

Leader: thank you we will make sure they are punished... accordingly.

The new leader turns to two of the men

Leader: make sure he is rewarded well.

Raider: yes sir.

Before Rhys walks off he looks at you and spits on your face. Rage boils your blood and the purple sparks shoot from your eyes.

You: I'll rip your arms off.

The certainty in your voice scares him as a worried expression crosses his face and he walks off in a hurry.

Leader: take the other lowlifes inside and question them where they keep their food supply.

Nora: wait what about our deal. I told you where to find him and you promised to leave us alone.

Leader: well after the betrayal you did to these members here...

He points at the 3 of you, who have been forced into your knees. There are to many of them.

Leader: I wouldn't trust you in the slightest.

He turns to one of the raiders and nods his head. With no second thought a bullet is fired and goes through Nora's skull and out the back. Her body becomes limp and she falls to the ground with a great thud.

Many of the farmers scream in horror and some cry out her name.

Clem: shit.

The leader returns his attention to you.

Leader: you see all the leaders of this group before me where weak and powerless. Now I need to prove I will be different. Stronger. And what a way to start it off by killing the person on the top of list and sound something many other leaders failed to do. Many died trying but I will not.

You: whatever you say.

You say sarcastically which annoys him. The men behind you strip you of your weapons and place them in a big pile. You still feel the handle of the pocketknife in your boot.

Leader: where are your two boys?

You all stay silent.

Leader: fine. Maybe a little punishment to get you to speak.

The leader kicks you in the ribs and the wind is knocked out of you.

He walks over and looks at the three of you. He is clearly deciding something.

The large beast of a man grabs Lewis by the collar and stands him up. He pushes him back and throws a knife at his feet.

Leader: come on, show us what you are made of.

Lewis grabs the blade and is rushed by two men with machetes. The odds are stacked against him.

Lewis blocks a blow from one of the machetes by holding his knife up as the metal clangs and rings out.
