Chapter 76 - getting help

Jacks POV

You run through the woods as you make your way to the school to go get ruby and the others to help Clem. You feel your legs getting tired from running and your lungs feel exhausted. You stand for a second and catch your breath.

Ok...

Maybe you should walk for a bit to give yourself a rest. Y/N always tells me to put myself first otherwise I won't be able to help it there's.

God I hope he's safe or... with Anna...

You're about half way there just keep going.

You jog as the the trees to either side of you are flying past your head. You hear rain beginning to beat off the leaves and land into the soil. You stop running for a second as you feel the water land in your hair and drip down your face. You see a streak of light fork across the sky and a loud boom follows it.

You jump and trip over a rock. They still scare you. All of a sudden you are reminded of a time back in a lodge as Y/N picks you up and rocks you as tears rush down your face. Thunder rushes through the house making you even more scared but Y/N cradles you all the same. Rocking you gently from side to side. He looks a lot younger and happier.

You feel some bits of warm rain dropping down your cheeks but then you realise it's tears. You wipe them away and get up. You dust yourself off. Why are you crying? He's not dead. He can't be...

He's clearly going to survive that fall.

Could he...?

I don't think any walkers bit him but I'm not sure...

All of a sudden you break down and begin crying quite heavily. The rain water drenched you as it becomes more heavy. You want to get help but your body won't let you. You curl up into a ball and cry.

Jack: please be ok...

Y/N: when was I ever ok in the first place?

You hear him say sarcastically and laugh. You sit up and look around in joy.

Jack: Y/N!!! Y/N!

You search around the opening.

Jack: Y/N?

You search behind the boulder in the middle.

Jack: Y/N...?

You begin loosing hope when you hear rustling in the bushes behind you. 

Jack: is that you dad?

You realise you called him dad and correct yourself.

Jack: I mean Y/N.

You hearing grunting as the bushes rustle more violently.

Jack: who is there? 

You get a hand on your pistol behind you back.

Jack: hello?

All of a sudden something big and brown knocks you too your feet as it knocks the wind out of you. You feel your head go dizzy and you close your eyes.

You feel four sharp objects piercing you chest as your eyes begin to focus. You hear it grunting. Once you focus and realise what is going on you see a big grizzly bear face to face with you.

(or you could say once he collected his BEARings... sorry)

You begin wiggling around but it has its grip locked into your chest. Once it realises you are awake it's starts becoming angry and roars into your face BEARING its teeth.
