Chapter 3-there is still hope

It's beginning to turn dark and you can't stand the thought of someone or something creeping up on you so you have too keep moving.

A single street light flickers in the dark like the last hope of civilisation. Dwindling but still pushing on.

As you move further into then dark you see a light on the horizon and you start heading in that direction.

Moans begin to emerge from the forest around you. You pick up the pace and with every step the metal axe clanks on the floor. The moans grow nearer and nearer as you begin to panic you start running.

After a while you are out of breath and stop dead in your tracks and the moaning has stopped.

Calm...

Quite...

A creature jumps out of a bush and try's to bit your ankle. You fall as it attempts to take off a chunk. It begins to crawl on top and try's to bite your neck. The only thing stopping things from happening it the axe pinned in its chest. You attempt to escape but it overpowers you. You reach for you knife and stab it in the side of the head. If falls and drools all over you shoulder. You slip out from under it and are sick all over.

You flip it over to retrieve your axe and it is fully lodged in it.

You tug and tug but I doesn't come loss. You turn to see another approaching at speed. With one final tug it comes loss and you swing hitting the thing clean in the head.

The weight of the axe cause you shoulder to dislocate. The pain is unbearable.

A group of them appear and you grab you axe and bolt to the light.

As you near a motel a woman yells at you.

"Hey you, stop"

You stop and look in fear of the mean lady

"LEE! We got a kid at the gate"

The gate opens (or just some bins with barbed wire on them) and a man walks out

"Hey kid. You ok,"

You look at him and whisper "no"

"What's wrong,"

"My parents died a while ago and I hurt my shoulder"

"Ok. We'll get katcha to look at that. Come inside,"

They lie you down on a sofa and they hold your arm into position. They push together and there is a crunch and you scream but after a while it feels better.

After a whiles out spot a girl in a blue and white baseball cap around you age talking to lee

"Who is that boy"

"It's Y/N his family just died. He needs a friend right now sweet pea"

"Ok lee"

She walks over to you as you clutch your axe the last thing in your family.

"Hello Y/N, I'm clementine"

"H...I" you mutter

"Wow" she says looking deep into your eyes.

"What" as you feel your cheeks become hot and you feel red.

"Your eyes change colour" she says with a twinkle in her eye

"They do"

"Yeah, it's cool"

You blush. I guess it's to do with the experiments.
