Chapter 21 - shit meets fan

You where about a 3 hour journey from the main base and you are completely out of it. You hadn't slept in about a week because of the stress of everything. Keeping jack and AJ safe, help clementine get through her... problem and making her feel comfortable, keeping Anna from having a nervous breakdown because of the worry about the group and trying to maintain enough food for you all to have a meal.

It was awful. AJ had tripped over and cut his knee so as clem and Anna patch him up you lean against a rock face and cross your arms. As soon as your body stops moving you fall asleep

Clem: Y/N. Y/N.

Anna: come on get up.

You slowly climb to your feet and get a massive head rush but you can't open your eyes.

Clem: you feeling ok?

Anna: for god sake Y/N, when's the last time you slept.

You rake your mind for an answer shocking yourself with the answer.

You: I- I don't- I don't remember.

Clem: oh Y/N. why?

You: to many reasons.

You feels as if you are going to break down until you feel something soft touch your lips.

You open your eyes to see Clem's face as she stands on a Little rock to reach your level to kiss you.

You smile but Anna does not look impressed with this.

Anna: Y/N! You can't keep on doing this! You may be different but I didn't make you a superhuman!

You: but-

Anna: no buts! You know I'm worried so don't make me worry about yo-

She stops when you give her a hug and holds onto you tightly and begins to cry.

Anna: I'm just so worried about the group. There has been an increase of gang activity in the area and I'm not sure if they have found the lodge or not.

You: it will be fine.

You all begin to walk again as the wind brushes through the snowy valley and the snow covers the river banks like a cold blanket.

As you move along the river becomes more ice than water as you head up the mountain and into a higher atmosphere.

Jack starts to fall as the snow becomes deeper and he struggles to walk through it. You pick him up and sit him on your bag with his legs over your shoulders. His arms rest on your head as you walk.

After a while you and Anna are the only two walking normally and clem is taking massive steps to even move forward as she carries AJ.

She looks at you with sad eyes and you catch up to Anna.

You: can you carry jack please.

Anna: fine.

She moves him from your back onto hers and you walk over to clem.

You take AJ from her side and place him on your back.

Clem: what are you doi- WOAH!

You stick your arm behind her legs and your other along her back and begin to carry her. For someone so small and thin she was heavy.

Clem: why are you doing this.

You: I can't watch you struggle to walk like that.

She runs a finger along your cheek and smiles.

You: even if it was fucking hilarious to see.

Clem: oy you. Just because you are abnormally tall for your age doesn't mean you can laugh at me.
