So before we get into this chapter I'd like to apologise for being gone for so long I just started finding writing being less of a hobby and more like a chore so I decided to take a break and now I'm excited to start writing again so I'll be back at it.
You and the boys walk through the forest just outside the safe zone looking for anything. You'd already checked the traps and found 2 rabbits that are now swinging from you're belt.
The boys are chatting as you take in the fresh air. Glad to be back to the simplicity of the forest.
They begin getting more excited and start raising their voices.
You: lads. Shut up everything for 5 miles can hear you.
Jack: you're starting to sound like aasim.
AJ: yeah you party pooper.
You use you're foot to clip the back of jack heels so he trips slightly making you laugh.
Jack: hey not cool.
Tenn starts laughing at jack as AJ joins in.
Jack begins getting frustrated.
Jack: you're a- a- a- a smelly head.
You smirk at him.
You: good one.
Jack smiles proudly.
You: I was being sarcastic.
Jack looks down trodden.
You scruffy his hair.
You: and I don't know what you two are laughing. AJ last night you tripped over and scrapped you're knee. And tenn...
Tenn looks frightened.
You: you... actually tenn doesn't fall over. He's smarter than you both.
AJ stops laughing, jack looks happy because you stuck up for him and tenn smiles.
You: Let's go and find some more food.
AJ: how long have we got left to look.
You: we've got another 2 hours max before I need to head and finish the rest of my jobs.
Tenn: and it's a half an hour walk from here to the house.
You: true. So you two keep your mouths shut and we might just find something. You two scout ahead a second.
AJ: do we have too.
He groans.
You glance at tenn quickly so he doesn't notice and they both seem to catch on with what you're doing.
AJ: we're on it.
You look to tenn.
You: tenn follow me a second.
Tenn: shouldn't we stick with them.
You: knowing them they'll find a way to slack off and only walk a metre.
You see a nice short tree that is split into two big branches. You climb up it.
You reach you're hand down to tenn.
Tenn: I've never climbed a tree before.
You: how? You've lived in a forest all you're life.
Tenn: violet and Minerva climbed the tallest one they could find but I didn't want to go.
You: well there is a first time for everything.
He takes your hand and you pull him up and he sits on the branch across from you.
