Chapter 129 - missing him

Clems POV

You slowly open your eyes in your bed as you stare up at the bleak ceiling.

You lay there with your hands on your stomach as you let out a long sigh.

You look to your left to see his side of the bed.

Empty.

He's not home yet.

It's been 10 days since he radioed telling you he'd snuck into the back of a car.

Scouts been gone too so you at least know that he's got some sort of back up.

Y/Ns not an idiot he knows not to attack everyone on his own.

Right?

You need to stop thinking about this. If he was injured scout would have come home and found you to get him help by know. He's fine.

Unless scout is hurt too. When he was attacked by wolves he only survived be he was found by the rescue party.

That was years ago though. Just get through today. He'll be home soon. With good news hopefully.

You climb out of bed and stare in the mirror. Your hairs a mess and even though you've been asleep you look tired.

You quickly sort it out and you rub your face like that would take away the solum look.

Your trying your best to keep the group together but morals a little low at the minute.

All the crates of food and supplies helped but people are still worried. We got a boost of happiness when aasim finally woke up but he's still bed bound. He probably will be for a while now.

But people can't stop thinking about Y/N. Seeing him just disappear into that forest. And then we all heard the radio.

Especially the boys. They ask every 5 minutes if you think he's safe. And you try and keep them happy saying that he's probably on his way home but you have no way of knowing what kind of situation he's in.

All you know is that without him things are beginning to fall apart and people don't realise he's really integral to the group.

You get dressed and leave the room.

You walk through the halls to see everyone is already up and getting to work. You've all left the barricades in case Y/N comes back and tells you that they are hot on his heels which isn't keeping people happy as they are kind of a monument of the fact we might have to fight people again.

You've been doing Ruby's greenhouse work and teaching the kids while she's been looking after aasim. It's not really too hard. She's already done all the hard work in the green house all you have to do is water them and take the weeds out and cut off the dead branches. And you've been teaching two kids for a couple years now so it makes no difference.

You walk to the green house and grab the watering can from outside. You go to the tap and fill it up and step into the greenhouse.

As you do you see ruby at the back weeding the strawberry plants.

You are surprised to see her.

Clem: what are you doing here?

You say kindly as she looks up from the plants.

Ruby: I know aasim is safe and he needs his rest. All I can do while he sleeps is disturb him and obviously I don't want to do that because he needs his rest. And I feel like I should keep busy. Take my mind off of it. And I'm also not the only one whose having worries about their boyfriend.
