You where wadding through the high snow having to take massive steps to get through it. You had come across a few walkers but only had to kill two because you dodged round most of them as many had stopped moving and froze from the cold.

The wind was nearly pushing you over and you had been told to only return after 3 days so they know I have checked thoroughly so I'll have to either find shelter or just get lucky and find a bit that isn't like 200ft deep under snow.

You keep on moving as the wind pushes snow against your face.

You worry and hope that clementine and Anna found somewhere to stay the night.

You are starving and keep your eyes peeled for any sign of meat but seem to be very difficult to see through this blizzard. You're just trying to stay optimistic. You are used to being alone because even when your group out on patrol everyone has their duties. Yours was hunting but you lost your bow while being under attack.

You had taken a crossbow with you. It was pretty professional. It had a carbon fibre frame with rubberised grips on the handle and stock. It had a steel foot guard for reloading (the metal thing on the front) and a fine, clean wire. The rings connecting the wire and the bow together would spin wildly with every shot. The divot where you place the arrows is clean without a single piece of dust in it. The arrows where a bit makeshift seen as though they are just sharpened sticks made smooth around the outside but as long as they can puncture something they are useful.

You sling it over your back so the butt of it is at your left shoulder and the tip of it at your hip. Your axe sticks over your right shoulder and sticks down all the way to your butt. The holster for it is tied round your right shoulder and slings under your left armpit with a little leather hoop to place the axe in.

Your knife is as sharp as you can get it without a professional to do it for you and it's placed in the inside of your jacket so people don't notice you have it.

You spot a large bird sitting in a tree. You check for a nest because you would feel awful if it was mid feed and you had shot it.

There wasn't.

You get on one knee and line up the bird in the iron sights and get ready to take the shot placing your finger on the trigger.

You hold your breath shoot and exhale.

As you take in your next breath the bird falls and lands in the snow.

You walk over and pull out the arrow and tied the animal by its feet to your belt.

Now all I need to do is to find a place to stay and cook it.

After about 2 hours of looking you find a small cottage half buried. It looks empty.

You grab hold of the door nob and start to pull but then snow stops it from opening.

You dig out a small area of snow and try to open it.

It's locked.

You spot a sky light slightly open.

You: fuck yes.

You climb in to the roof and think about someone else before you enter.

You whistle.

He is built for this weather but he is only a pup without its mother so he would be safer in there with you.

After about a minute the little dog begins to bark at you as he can not jump onto the roof so you pull him up. He was so camouflaged you didn't notice him until he barked.

You slowly lower him in the cottage and then drop in yourself and look at him.

He is a bit fatter.
