Chapter 92 - lazy day

Everyone is tired because none of you got much sleep last night so people are just hanging off of their saddles trying to stay awake.

It's around midnight which isn't that late but you've all had a busy few days.

You are struggling mentally and need a hug off clem.

You are about 10 minutes away from arriving at the school and arky seems tired too because he's been lugging a big carriage around on his own.

Erin: you feeling any better today?

You: I don't know anymore. This trip has done worse for me mentally then I was bargaining for.

Erin: yeah and I can understand why. I don't really know what happened with the orange eyes but it's clear it's not making you feel good. And then having to kill that dude probably didn't help.

You: no it really didn't. I just hope they got that water running and if I get asked to set it up I'm going to slap someone.

Erin: if you get asked I'll do it for you.

You: thanks.

You go quiet.

Erin: I'm going to talk to finley because it looks like he's about to fall off of his horse.

You: hey, wait.

She looks at you.

You: thanks for checking up on me it means a lot.

Erin: anytime.

She rides over to Finley and you are left alone once again.

You ride in dead silence with only the thud or arky's hooves hitting the ground making any sound.

You can see the light of the school with the fires but you take a left to where the horses are tied up.

You reach the makeshift stable which is just a fallen tree and you tie arky up.

You stroke his nose.

You: well done boy. You did good.

He rests his head into you arms which is very heavy and you feed him an apple out of the saddle.

You: you have helped us out a lot.

You walk over to the small metal carriage and pick up one of the square hay bails.

You: and you've got food for you and your friends.

You keep piling up the hay at the end of the log and you unclip the carriage. You take the saddle off and stroke his back.

You: I'll see you later boy.

You and the others begin walking towards the school and as you walk through the gate you feel arms wrap around your chest.

Clem.

You rest your chin on her head and hug her back.

Clem: I'm so glad you're back.

You: why?

Clem: I missed you.

You: are the boys ok?

Clem: yeah they're fine they are asleep right now.

You: good. Are you ok?

Clem: yeah I'm fine. You?

You feel everyone who was on the trip give you awkward glances.

You: I've been better.

Clem: awww. What's up?
