Finally, this day has come!

The ball is today. Meaning it's just me and that sweet nostalgia. There's something about wearing a gown with so many layers underneath. It's like wearing history.

I'm getting ready with Louis (he's my date) and Aunt Julie watches.

The hair took the longest to do. According to all my research, most virtuous women wore their hair in an intricately braided or twisted updo. Women would even attach further pieces of human hair, most likely similar to modern-day extensions, giving their hairstyle more volume and height.

The most important aspect of Victorian hair was neatness.

"You look..." Louis looks up and down at me. "Gorgeous."

"Thank you." I peck his cheek. "And you..."

"You give definitely give me Titanic vibes."

We get in the car. The thought of Louis not going to college still bothers me. It's like all I see when I look at him.

"About college..." Louis talks first.

So it bothers him too.

"Louis." I hold his hand. "It's still a year away."

"We got one year to think," I add. "But no matter what happens, I will be here with you."

"I love you." he kisses my hand softly. "More than you ever know."

We arrive at the venue. Ah, it feels like Paris all over again. The music, the lights, everything is perfect.

And I really hope this night would too. Clearly, this is gonna be my first design. I worked day and night for this.

"I gotta go to my dressing room. I'll see you later. Save me a seat!" I tell Louis.

I walk into my workspace and spot Will all dolled up.

"WOW!" I gasp. "You look obnoxiously handsome."

"Must you really bring butterflies in my stomach?" he chuckles.

"We still have 30 minutes before the show."

"Should we look around a bit first?" Will says. "I mean, I'm all ready."

The venue had three enormous rooms; one was a theatre, a kitchen, and the last was the show. Will and I ended up in the theatre.

"A piano!" I point to the stage.

"You know how?"

"Yes, Of course!"

I start playing the instrument.

I'm guessing all of you already know what this song is.

"Maybe it's the way you say my name; Maybe it's the way you play your game." I begin.

"But it's so good, I've never known anybody like you. But it's so good, I've never dreamed of anybody like you."

"And I've heard of a love that comes once in a lifetime and I'm pretty sure that you are that love of mine"

And the chorus. My personal favorite.

I listened to the beautiful melody that filled my ears; this sing has the most adorable kind of tune. Will stared at me while I sang and my fingers danced on the piano keys. It was like on a cloud.

"Cause I'm in a field of dandelions. Wishing on every one that you'll be mine, mine. And I see forever in your eyes I feel okay when I see you smile, smile wishing on dandelions all of the time. Praying to God that one day you'll be mine"

"Wishing on dandelions all of the time, all of the time" I end the song, precisely as the way I did last time. Smooth.
