Since everyone's been thinking that Louis and I "broke up", I escape to the girl's bathroom so no one would talk to me, "sending their deepest sorry".
And of course, there was Toni, standing in front of the mirror, dabbing on lipstick as my eye meets hers in the mirror.
"Hey, stranger."
God, why does she have to say it that way? So smug; perfectly in a mean tone.
"Was it you?" My voice echoes in the walls.
"What the hell are you talking about?" she replies bitterly.
"Did you tell everyone that Louis and I broke up?"
"No." she scoffs.
I look at her and try not to forget what she's been going through. But I just can't. This is too much; she's too much.
Though, I suspected that she did tell everyone. It just doesn't matter anymore.
