"Why aren't you inside? You should get some rest."
"I'm fine."
Louis takes a few steps forward beside me, "Do you mind telling me the reason why you are here?"
"I just needed fresh air."
"Fresh air!? In London!?" He joked.
I let out a scoff and looked back at the busy streets.
"Thank you for coming with me."
"You're welcome."
"I'm so grateful I have you." He chuckled.
I shift my head facing Louis and he was already looking at me.
"What's that on your head?" I dust off his messy hair.
"Must have been from the bed."
A few seconds later, Louis speaks again. "I have an audition after school on Friday. I may not be able to pick you up."
"It's okay. Can I come with you?" I ask with excitement.
"Sure, you can. My mum's coming too."
"Is this for a movie?"
"Yes, it is."
"Tell me!" I demanded.
"I can't." he sighs.
"That's too bad."
"I'm so mad after what happened," I say, remembering being poured with honey from head to toe.
"I know. She really loses her mind sometimes. It's her."
My mood dropped after what Louis had just said. I'm deeply offended. Instead of saying, "I'll confront her" or "I'll protect you" he seemed to be defending her.
"That's it?"
"What?"
"Here we go again." Louis starts.
"Here we- Louis! She had something in my drink, poured stupid honey on me and you seem to not care?!"
"Not care?" he scoffs.
"I can't believe you're saying that after I walked with no umbrella just to take you here."
"Did I ask you to do that?!" I yell furiously.
We're arguing. I don't remember the last time we fought. It was probably that time when he said that the"rainbow barf" filter on Snapchat was cuter than the dog one. And that was, what? Six years ago?
"I can't believe that you are so blindly in love with her." I scoff.
"Can't you see it?! She's proving to you that no matter what happens to your life, you'd still crave for her affection. She wants you to come running."
"You pick her. You pick her every single time."
"That is not true." He debated.
"I saw her put something in your drink―"
"So you knew?"
"There was so much bad blood between the two to you."
"I-I just want- I was just―" Louis stutters.
"Protecting her. Like always." I continue.
"Nice one, Mr. Partridge."
