FAKE DATING LOUIS WAS HARDER THAN I THOUGHT. I was too focused on helping him that I forgot the possibility of this, jeopardizing our friendship.

I'm lucky that I made a new friend before I had that fight with Louis after homecoming. I started eating in the cafeteria with Lucas every day. He's been talking about this guy named, Kevin in his calculus class. I kept myself busy with school and work together with supporting a friend in finding out if his crush is also, gay.

I thought it was so easy to forget about our fight. But every time I see Louis, I wanted to disappear or fly away when he walks by, even if I know he doesn't take a glance at me. (at least that's what I thought)

"You're daydreaming again." Lucas snapped.

"Sorry, I was just―"

"Thinking of Mr. Partridge." He continued.

"No!" I denied.

Lucas comes closer to me, "Don't force yourself to forget about him."

In the middle of his soon to be "speech", Kevin Clarkson passes by with his lunch tray. "Don't let yourself forget him." I joked.

"Haha."

"Look, all I'm saying is that you should try to at least fix everything and be friends."

I smile hesitantly at his idea. "I don't know..."

Lucas gives a sassy kind of look. He sounded just like Aunt Julie, scolding me to wear heels.

"What do you mean, 'I don't know'? All you have to do is get your man, ask him to stay as friends, and the next thing you know, your kissing passionately in the rain!"

I cringe, imagining what I'd actually do if I was in that scenario. "Lucas!"

"This isn't some kind of scene in The Notebook."

"That's the point! You have to make it one!" he suggests, scooping a spoonful of mashed potatoes in his mouth.

After school, I decided to make it up with Louis. I walked from school to his house which was pretty far. I didn't know how to drive.

I confidently lift my shoulders as I was about to approach Louis' house.

Two cars were parked in the front when I arrived. I heard laughing from a distance so I hid behind a tree. It Louis and Toni, they seemed to be so happy. Maybe, I'm too late. They're probably, no definitely together again. But that isn't the point. I'm just here to apologize for raising my voice at him and be best friends again, like always.

I sneak slowly as Toni's car drove away.
