Today, Louis and I are going to Paris. Yes, Paris; The most romantic city in the world. Out of all the trips Louis and I went on, this is probably the best one yet.
"Thank you, Louis."
"No problem." Louis smiles.
We're on the plane, talking about random stuff and playing random games.
"Ok. We already had 25 rounds of rock paper scissors." He chuckles in a hushed tone.
"Ok, fine. What about two truths and one lie?"
"Cool."
"I'll start first." I begin.
"I don't have a favorite color. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, and I dream of getting married in the Vatican."
"No...you dream of getting married in Barcelona."
I can't believe he remembered that. I think I told him in middle school but it was just one time.
"Why so?" I test him.
"Because you think the culture there deserves all the love for its beauty."
"Exactly."
"You know, what you think of Barcelona is how you should think of to yourself."
"Your beauty deserves all the love." He adds.
There was a long silence between us before I spoke.
"Good night, Louis."
"Good night." He echoes.
There's this silly habit of Louis' it's stranger than him loving to do the dishes. In a plane, he would lean his seat all the way at the back once he starts to feel sleepy.
So, I remind him. "Don't lean all the way at the back."
"Why? Cause you don't want the girls at the back to see my charming face?"
"It's not your face. It's just you have to be considerate of everyone else here."
He pretends not to hear me and leans all the way, letting out bluff snores.
I try to ignore him, but this time he's really asleep. I call out a flight attendant.
"Hello. Hi, could I please have some earplugs?"
"Yes, that would be £9."
"£9? For earplugs?"
"Yes." She nods.
"Oh, that's okay. I'll just use my peanuts over here." I joked.
9? FOR EARPLUGS? WHERE AM I? THE FUTURE?
