After school, I go to a place I now call; "work".
Ew. I feel like a 40-year-old for saying that. (sorry aunt Julie)
I smiled before the elevator doors as they opened. My happy and excited mood drops once I saw everyone running around.
It didn't seem like I was perturbed by the noises around me. But I was.
Claire runs to me with dozens of dresses on a hanger.
"Sunny!" she waves her hand. "Good. You're here. There's a last-minute assignment."
"A casual type of outfit."
"Wait, what?" I gasp. "Like, right now?"
"Yes! right now."
"I gotta go, my designer's freaking me out!" she says promptly.
I walk to my assigned room where I spot Will, scanning a rack of clothes.
"You're here!" he yells. "There's a-"
"Fashion emergency. I know." I say, sliding each hanger to see what would fit for casual attire.
"Is this everything?"
"Yeah, that's all there is."
There were only four tops and not a proper pair of jeans. Only a lost pair from a suit.
I spot a red large-sized button-down sweater vest and a beige plaid flannel.
An imaginary light bulb appears on top of my head. Will, who was sitting on a chair, waiting for my decision, looked up to me; wondering why I smiled out of the blue.
I pull him upward. "I have a perfect idea."
"Are you sure?" he pops his head from the dresser; shirtless.
"YES!!" I yell. "Hurry up!"
"Isn't this kind of a girly aesthetic?"
"Oh, please." I scoff. "Fuck toxic masculinity."
I let out a self-satisfied smile.
I'm proud of myself, I honestly never knew I could be this good.
Will comes out, giving his sweater vest a slight pull at the bottom.
He's wearing the lost pair of pants from a suit and the plaid flannel tucked in; the red vest on top.
"Now, for the shoes..." I tap my chin. "Ah!"
I put down a pair of shoes with toe loafers. It was casual and classy at the same time.
"Oh, you missed a button."
As I fix Will's button, he gazes down at my eyes.
"Thank you," he whispers slowly.
"No problem," I replied, reluctantly.
An unexpected interminable silence flows between us, still gazing into each other's eyes.
I don't plan on keeping it a lot longer.
"You look dashing."
"It's all because of you." he chuckles.
