25: Teach Me How-To Ski

"Who watches 8 whole seasons of Friends on a school night?"

Lucas opens his mouth and blurts the last thing that was maybe in his mind "Everyone."

"So...what to do first?" I asked, pulling out a piece of paper from my backpack.

I had researched the fun things we could do here. I listed them all out so Lucas and I could do it together.

"I can't," he answers, scratching the back of his neck.

"I haven't even said anything."

"Well, Kevin and I heard that there's a fancy restaurant in this hotel." He begins.

"So you two are on a date." I continue.

"Yes, we are."

I give him a slight pat on the shoulder as I walked out to find Louis. "I'm so happy for you."

I look around and spot Louis near the fireplace which was in the lobby. He's casually talking to 

Toni when I interrupt and she leaves.

"Hey." I tilt my head followed by a smile.

"Hey."

"Would you like to go skiing with me?" Louis offers.

"I don't see why not."

I pause, "I don't know how to!"

He drags me out of the room with crowded people. "Then I'll teach you."

"This is..."

"Nice?" Louis continues in a nervous kind of way.

"It's too steep. I can't." I bail, moving a few steps backward away from the edge.

"Come on."

"On my count." He begins.

"1."

"2."

"3!"

And just like that, at the count of three, he pushes down the edge but my eyes were closed.

"Louis!"
