"Then you should sleep beside me."

"I'd like that."

I lie on the bed with Louis beside me. It felt awkward but, I had to bear with it.

"I can't sleep with your face disturbingly close to mine," I say in a firm tone.

Louis obeys and lies upside down so his feet we're beside me.

"That's pretty much the same."

"Then maybe I should face the other side?"

"Ok...?"

He turns to the opposite side of the bed while faced the other.

"Hey, Sunny?"

"Mhm?"

"I blame myself for this."

"I blame you too." I chuckle.

I feel him turn back at me so I turn to as well when he asked, "Have ever been to Paris?"

"No, this is my first time."

"You?"

"Yeah, I've been here."

"Let me guess, Toni was with you?"

"No."

Out of curiosity and possibly a bit of jealousy I asked, "Why not?"

"I just think she isn't that girl you have to bring here."

"What about your mom?"

"Not her either."

I chuckle without him knowing the reason. It was because I was the one he brought to Paris; me.

But it doesn't mean anything right? He's just being a good friend, making sure I don't spend Christmas with other people. His family aren't strangers to me, It's just the difference when you spend a special holiday with someone very close to you.

"Good night."

"Good night." I echoed.

The next morning, we pick up Aunt Julie for breakfast at a cafe near her office.

"OH MY GOD, this is delicious."

"What is it?" Louis adds.

"It's some kind of bread with chocolate inside."

"It's better than croissants!" I exclaimed in satisfaction.
