Chapter 22

(Katniss POV)
I woke up at the crack of dawn in Peeta's strong protective arms. I love him so much. I start to move turning around to face him. My movement wakes him, his eyes open deep ocean blue, pupils dilating quickly to the early morning light.

"Good morning beautiful," he says. I smile in reply. He surprises me by jumping out of bed, and grabs me carrying me out of the train compartment as I giggle. "Why do you do this all the time?" "What?" "Carrying me around, you know I have legs right," I say jokingly. " I carry you around so I can protect you, and know your mine," he said smiling.
I don't know what's happened to me after the war, I'm less tough, and I feel weak, but I don't need toughness,and strength to protect me anymore, I have Peeta, and I love him.
I kiss him lightly. I hear someone cough behind us, and turn around to see Gale and Johanna standing there. I use all my power not to roll my eyes, at how their just all of a sudden dating, with barely knowing each other.
"Hey love birds," Johanna says while smirking. "Hey," Peeta replies for me. "How about you girls go get dressed while Gale and I go find breakfast," Peeta says after several second of silence.
I walk down the hall to find Finnick, and Annie kissing passionately while trying to walk down the hall at the same time. I almost laugh from watching them stumble every other step.
Finn isn't with them so he must still be sleeping, so I tiptoe passed his compartment, to the only other bedroom compartment. I search through the drawers, to find I freshly cleaned, and folded thin blue dress, with a brown belt, it's short in the front, but long in the back.
I go to the kitchen to find Peeta, and Gale with strawberries, apples, eggs, orange juice, and a bottle of white wine. I enjoy a nice breakfast with Finnick, Annie, Gale, Johanna, and Peeta. We save a small portion of orange juice, and scrambled eggs for Finn.
Just after breakfast it hits me, my eyes widen, what happened to Haymitch, Effie, and Emily?
