Chapter 64

(Katniss POV)
I ran into Peeta on the level where our  room is. Just as I said Snow was back the alarm finally reached this floor, the electric isn't working very well, as district 2 hackers are probably trying to break down every system we have. I run into Peeta and I's room, I grab my mockingjay pin, and think that's everything. As I'm exiting the room I remember Buttercup and the dog. I race to the stairwell Peeta right behind me. "Follow me, no questions," I tell him. He nods and we race against the crowd. We go up 2 levels to the Pet Groomers, just as we get to the door a boy exits with his dog. I grab the door and run inside. I look at all the animals left still in cages. Most are dogs, but there's also a bird and a couple cats including Buttercup, who is now clean and in the same cage snuggling with the dog. I see a big bag labeled dog treats. Peeta and I unlock all the cages I make him carry Buttercup, the dog, and the bird. I grab up all the cats, and using a free hand shake the bag of treats making the dogs follow me to the stairwell. I enter with Peeta and the dogs race in getting mixed with the crowd. Some cry from getting their paws stomped on, but the race on knowing there is a reason for the commotion. We reach the bunker a few minutes early, I let all the cats in to find their owner, and try to make sure all the dogs are in as there were almost to many to count. The bunker doors close and I follow the same instructions I followed the last time this happened. I got to my assigned area, last time my name ended in "E", now it ends in "M", for Mellark so I look for Johanna at the same time because her last name is Mason. By now everyone has settled in, I search everywhere, I pass Finnick and Annie, I even see my mother and Gale, Plutarch, Haymich, and I got the control room with Paylor, still no Johanna. I hope she went deep into the woods or deeper than this bunker. Now I just have to play the waiting game to find out what happened.
