(Peeta POV)

After the war the nightmares died down a bit. I knew I loved Katniss, but the tracker jacket venom tried to fight it off. But like all poisons, and medications the venom wore off, but it did take a lot of therapy, and time. When I was finally released to go to my home in Victor's Village back in 12 I waited about a week before having any interactions with Katniss. I went out to the meadow, dug up some primrose, then went to her house, and started planting along the sides of her house. I made sure to make lots of noise, hitting the shovel against the wall of the house hoping she would hear, and come out. Eventually she came outside, it looked like she had been napping, because she had groggy eyes that had a wisp I fear in them, probably from a nightmare. When she looked up, and saw me her whole body tensed up her eyes wide, her face pale, and her pupils dilating to pinpoints. Then she started running at me when she reached me she jumped into my open arms hugging me, happiness flooding her eyes. We then sat down on the porch, and talked from the sunny afternoon, till dusk, watching the dandelions blow into the warm spring wind.
