(Gale POV)
I wake up with a bad headache, we have the funeral and then grab Haymich and Cressida. We start walking to 13 with backpacks, and Haymich dragging along. I keep thinking about kissing Katniss. I don't really love her, just that feeling to hold on to everything in the past took over. I think again of who I actually do love, Johanna or Cressida? Gosh that's a hard choice, they both are bitter on the outside, but sweet on the inside which is the main thing I want in a life long partner. They're both hot as well. Katniss comes across my mind again, I start thinking of how I will get her out of my mind, so I start thinking of the reasons why we can't be together. She's been through the games taking away her bitter exterior, causing her to be weak and needing more care. She would be to much work for me, I'm glad Peeta's there to take care of her. I wish I hadn't kissed her, so I decide to try to make this right again. I speed up my pace so I'm next to him, he senses I have something to tell him so I we take a few steps away from the group, then continue walking, I start the conversation off with, "I'm sorry for what happened back there, I just had a bit of an emotional breakdown." "No it's fine, I'm sorry I punched your face," Peeta says trying to make it sound funny. I laugh and continue with, "I just hope I didn't create any conflict between you and Katniss." "Actually I was wondering if I could ask you a huge favor about that," he says. "Shoot," I say telling him to continue talking. "Well Katniss doesn't really want to hang around me anymore because it's kind of awkward between us after what happened; to be brutally honest," Peeta says. "Don't worry I'll talk to her," I tell him. "Thanks," he says. We get back to the group and I again walk over to the side with Katniss. I hope this goes well so I don't make It more awkward between her and Peeta.
