(Gale POV)
Katniss comes out of her house her eyes watering from the sight of Greasy Sae's body wrapped in sheets as a coffin, Peeta and I decided to put the grave on the side of Peeta's old house. Johanna carves "Greasy Sae," into a piece of firewood, Peeta and I finish up the grave, it's not very deep, but it's good enough. I try so hard to not tear up, I succeed but it's just so hard knowing that the woman who loaned me food so many times when I was a little kid and starving to death. Johanna's face is white. "What's wrong," I ask her. "I've never had to look at the bodies for this long," she replies,"just until the light goes out of their eyes." That terrifies me enough to shut up. Peeta and I take a minute from digging the grave, Katniss walks to her house, disappearing into the backyard. I follow her while Peeta goes to wake up Annie, Johanna continues to carve the tombstone. I see Katniss on the back steps to the house, crying her eyes out. Even though she didn't know Greasy Sae that much, and neither did I we both are traumatized by the incident. Something weird happens it's like I have to hold on to everything in the past, Katniss starts to dry her eyes, I quickly grab her into hug, she doesn't feel like my strong hunting companion anymore though, it's like the games tore her apart and put her back together making her weak. I don't like the difference. I just want it to be that day when we were getting the annual feast celebrating we weren't reaped to the games. I pull away from the hug, and quickly grab Katniss into a kiss. Katniss try's to pull away, but I'm to strong, I feel a presence behind me an pull away from the kiss a split second before I feel someone grab the back of my shirt pulling me away from Katniss, then feeling them hit me hard on the side of the head.
