Chapter 4

(Peeta POV)

I went to the bakery same as everyday for the past month.

I made this new thing called a "Boston creme donut," it looked like a biscuit with chocolate frosting on it, but it had creme filling in it so it was all the more delicious. It was so luxurious to have, so we were only aloud to make it after the war. I sold about 100 a day, but with my earnings and Katniss' from the 74 and 75 hunger games all the money from the bakery went into building houses for the homeless. I made sure to make cheese buns for Katniss, because it was her favorite.

I couldn't wait to go back to her so we could talk over my lunch break.

(Katniss POV)

I was just sitting on the couch and enjoying a good book when I started drifting off to sleep. I didn't want to fall asleep, not without Peeta next to me, but I couldn't fight it. I drifted off, at first there were no dreams just nice calm light sleep. But as I fell deeper into sleep a nightmare started. It was Rue. She died right I front of my eyes an arrow stuck in her heart.

Then it was Peeta, arrow to the chest blood making his shirt stick to his six pack. But for some reason I was killing them. Then before my eyes they turned into mutts from my first game. The started chasing me, I started screaming as they caught me tearing at my face. That's when I open my eyes just to stare into the familiar blue eyes I love.
