(Johanna POV)
I walk around the campsite. Boredom eats at me, I look at the early morning light, they should reach the surface today. I pace in front of the shelter, I eat what's left of the blackberries, and look at Revolver, who could really use some exercise. I untie her from the post, grab the ax, and start running back to thirteen. As we run Revolver pulls the leash running faster than me, I speed up, then we reach the edge of the waterfall, and also the beginning of the burned part of the woods. Revolver comes to a complete stop and gets close to my leg, scared of what's in this part of the woods. I put her inside my jacket, and go down the side of the waterfall.
We reach the ground, and I set her down, she sniffs the air and makes a weird barking noise. Then she dashes, jerking the leash out of my hand. I chase after her, feeling like I'm back in my dream, only I know we're heading away from thirteen. I finally catch up to her, and find she's whimpering next to a small body, a large tree limb crushing its side, it's body scorched by the fire, it's Revolver's mother. Revolver leans her head down next to her mother's face, and just looks into where the eyes were. She just whimpers. I watch Revolver in just complete grief. I remember this feeling all to well. After I was in the hunger games, Snow wanted me to tour the Capitol, and meet fans. I refused, and I came home to find my whole family dead, still covered in wet blood. I grieved for hours, just sat next to their bodies hoping they would come back to life, and give me a hug, but the never did, so I took their bodies, and buried them on my own, a few people offered to help, but I decided, it was my fault I refused Snow, and I'll bury them because I got them killed.
