(Gale POV)
I hear word from one of guards that Johanna is in the infirmary. I walk over quickly, with every moment of my stomach feels like it's been filled with a thousand needles. I power through it and walk into the infirmary to see her, she smiles at the sight of me. "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING," I yell angrily at her. "I went into the woods just like you by the way, I thought Snow's army would fear the fact that Katniss single handedly took down not one, but two hovercrafts, but NO, they decided to be little jerks and attack us by surprise," she says in defense. "Why did you go out in the first place," I ask still angry. "I was upset you were in critical condition, and when that happens the average person reacts with a sad emotion so I did the humanly thing and tried to keep my mind off it, because I knew if you died I couldn't live knowing you were gone," she says tears welling up in her eyes, she swallows them back and looks at me dead in the eye. I take a second to comprehend what she just said. "I love you," I say. Her face softens, and she waits, I begin to think she won't say it back. Then she says the says the four words I never realized I wanted to hear so much, "I love you too."
