Y/N's POV

"Lee Y/N jie jie! Wake up!" There it goes, a call certainly more annoying than my own alarm clock and I could bet that it could rival and even surpass a dolphin's laugh.

So, what they say is true then. That all good things come to an end, and unfortunately, my sleep is one of those things. That one week break and freedom away from school didn't feel enough. But who the heck am I even kidding? For a typical student like me, no break would be long enough, or even enough for that matter.

"Go away." I grumbled as I buried my head further into my pillows and under the blankets.

I don't want to go to school, or anywhere else, really. The image of spending all day in my bed, just doing nothing and not giving a single care to the world, is already forming in my head and it's glorious.

"Can't do! If you stall any longer, you'll definitely miss the bus." I didn't respond and continued to drift off, desperate to sleep and maybe, just maybe, mom would let me skip school today.

"I don't want to go to school." I groaned out as the pestering calls didn't stop. From underneath the blankets, I heard a gasp before I felt the space beside me dip down and the blanket is frantically being pulled and tugged away.

"Mom, something is wrong with Y/N jie! Mom! You leave me no choice but to play my final ace!"

With a final tug, I came face to face with the most annoying creature to even walk in this world, also know as my brother, Lee Minsu. I glared blankly at him, but before I could even utter a single word out, I felt ice cold water being sprayed all over my face, the droplets felt like tiny pins and needles poking through my skin as I clenched my eyes shut. Loud laughter soon filled the expanse of my room as Minsu continued to spray water on my helpless form.

"Yah! Lee Minsu, I'm gonna kill you!" I yelled out in annoyance as I finally managed to take hold of his shoulders before pushing and turning us so he is on his back.

I opened my eyes and wore a victorious smirk as he struggled against my hold. The droplets of water on my face continuously dribbled down and made contact with his struggling face. I snatched the spray bottle that contains the cold water, away from his grasp and notoriously sprayed it on his face. I let out a laugh at his pointless struggle of wiping his face.

"You filthy peasant. How dare you challenge me!" I stated in pride as I continued to spray him, determined to use up all the remaining water. I would've unscrewed the bottle and just dump the water on him directly but I couldn't risk getting my sheets ruined.

"Mom, Y/N jie is trying to kill me! Help, you're losing a handsome son!" Minsu yelled out, making me roll my eyes and watch his escaping attempts in boredom. Heck, the boy isn't  even trying! He's  more dramatic than I am, correction, he's more dramatic than most of the people I encounter.

"I don't see a handsome son anywhere." I sprayed the last bit of t

he cold water just as the bedroom door opened. We both halted and turned towards the door. By this time, Minsu's whole face and neck is drenched and his striking black hair is, too, making it point to different directions.

In the doorway stood our mother, Lee Hua, clad in a simple, blue dress and an apron. Her black shoulder length hair is intricately pinned in a half up do in the back of her head. My mother is already in her early forties, but she still looks ever young. Barely noticeable lines adorned her face, yes, but she still looks beautiful, a lot of people would say and I couldn't agree more.

"Mom!" Minsu whined out as he finally managed to push me away and sit up. Droplets of water slid down his face as he did so, soaking patches on his maroon shirt. He turned to me and glared, but it only made me let out a laugh.
