56. Deny It

Y/N's POV

"Rise and shine!"

I let out a groan as I felt like my eyes are being burned by the sunlight. I pulled the covers up and covered my head away from the light. I'm still so tired and all I want to do is sleep for the rest of the day. I let my eyes stay closed for a while.

"Y/N! Wake up!" Someone yelled and I felt the blankets being tugged away.
"Screw off..." I grunted and tightened my fold on the blanket.

I shifted and buried my head further into the pillows. Breathing in deeply, my senses became overwhelmed with the strong smell of sweet chocolate. That can't be right. Last time I checked, my bed and covers smell of apples and vanilla.

My eyes snapped open and blue sheets greeted me. This is not my bed. I hastily sat up, getting tangled up in the blankets as I tried to navigate my surroundings. Wide eyes panned the area. This is not my room. Before I could stop myself, my mouth already opened and I'm screaming in plain horror.

"Hey, hey! Calm down!"

I heard the voice again and a hand clamped over my mouth. It didn't help at all. If not, it just made me feel even more disgruntled and panicked. I reached up and tried to yank the hand away, all the while, still screaming my wits out. I'm gonna die!

"Y/N, it's Yuxin! You're in our house, remember? Please calm down before our moms think I'm murdering you." Someone said.

The next moment, I found myself flushed against Yuxin in a hug. Her arms wrapped around my shoulders and back. I stopped screaming and became confused. Yuxin? Why is Yuxin here? After a few moments of inner questioning, I finally remembered where I am.

I could feel the heat of embarrassment in my face as I got a flashback of how I reacted like a complete retard and freaked out earlier. I'm mentally kicking myself over. This is so humiliating.

Finally managing to gather up my lost composure, I took a deep breath and pulled away from Yuxin's hold. Masking up my expression with a blank stare, I didn't give her any time to react before I whacked her on the shoulder.

"You scared me!" I accused and narrowed my eyes at her.
"I scared you! You scared me! I thought you were being possessed or something." She replied.

Her brows knotted as she rubbed her shoulder on the area I just hit. For a moment, I felt bad before I shot the feeling down for the sake of my own preservation. I let out a huff and didn't say anything.

"At least you're calm enough now... But you really should've seen your face!"

Her demeanor changed completely and now she's teasing me. She threw her head back in laughter. Which soon made her collapse on the bed. Lying down as she continued to joyously laugh at my humiliation. I pursed my lips in annoyance and threw one of the pillows to her face.

"Yah! Stop laughing." I grumbled and glared at her.
"O-okay." She uttered out, barely managing to speak as broken laughs escaped her lips.

I rolled my eyes and turned away from her to scan my surroundings again. This time, much slower and calmer. The walls are colored in a deep blue and medals, trophies and plaques are proudly hung on one side of the wall, right beside a bookshelf.

Other than that, our rooms look pretty much similar. But I clearly remember stubbornly staying I the living room and ending up falling asleep on the couch. I'm pretty sure I didn't sleep here. So, how come I woke up here? My confused eyes went back to Yuxin who's now sitting up.

"I carried you up here. Mom told you to sleep here but you were stubborn and slept on the couch." She sad as if already reading the question on my mind.
