Lin Fan's POV

"Since we're already finished with our discussion, we're gonna be laid back for the rest of the period and have fun!"

We all watched as Mister Jin put his book down and turned to us with his usual enthusiastic smile. Around me, I can hear some of the girls literally swoon at his action. And I'm lying if I say that it didn't set me off. I mean, I guess appreciation of the opposite gender is millions of worlds away from my forte.

"Mister Jin's definition of fun doesn't really suit mine, usually." I heard Y/N whisper to me, making me turn to her and let out a snicker.
"Mine either. Let's just hope he doesn't make us write another reflection paper like last time." I whispered back, not failing to see the curl of her smirk.

"I honestly prefer that over socializing with other people." She stated, making me reach over and poke her.
"I'm offended."

"What? In group works, most of the time you're just quiet and daydreaming about girls." She mumbled, making me pout by decided against saying anything else cause she's probably right.

Although, one should know that it isn't entirely my fault. I mean, what's there not to like and daydream about? Some, some girls always smell nice. Like, very nice all the time and cute, and nice and just clean. I guess? And Lu Keran.

My lips unconsciously pulled up into a grin and I let out a long sigh as I got lost in my own world and mind again. How nice. Though it didnt last long as I felt a sharp pinch on my side. It made me jolt and try to jerk away, a silent yelp escaping my lips. Eyebrows furrowed in pain, I turned to Y/N in accusation as j rubbed at the area she pinched, which, by the way, is now slightly throbbing.

"You're doing it again." She pointed out before I could even start to complain.
"I'm not doing anything!" I hushedly said in defense, but she just huffed and rolled her eyes before turning to the front.
"You're daydreaming and simping again and I bet it's about Lu Keran." She whispered so low that I almost didn't catch it.

But like paper catching fire, I felt how heated my cheeks suddenly felt. Using my hands, I shielded it away from view, now embarrassed to say anything or even deny. Seriously, why does she always know everything? Huffing in defeat, I urged myself to calm down before turning my attention to the front.

"We'll be having a... Drumrolls please!" Mister Jin trailed off and started hitting the table top which was soon followed by the others.
"A debate! Woohoo!"

At Mister Jin's words, the once excited mood of the room suddenly dropped into sulking faces and mumbles of protest. I admit that I'm one of those who protested. Fun for me in school means having no lectures, study or free period and lunch. Not a freaking debate!

I looked beside me and to Y/N and I wasn't surprised to see her brows furrowed. One thing that's similar about us is our definition of fun. Although, I honestly wonder how she managed to lock the second rank. Of course, she's not as lazy at studying as I am, but still lazy to some extent.

"Why the long faces? Don't worry, the topic is actually subjective. So, simple question, would you rather be happy but wrong for others, or be sad but right for others?" Mister Jin spoke in what I can only assume as a try to make things better.

Yeah, seriously doubt that. Quiet whispered rang in the air as the others started to express their distaste to their seatmates. Something about not wanting to have anything to do with it. Same.

"So, who wants to defend the first choice? Except for Liu Yuxin." Mister Jin said, looking around to see if anyone has their hands raised and stopping the president who's most likely to do that. But to actual surprise of everyone, the president wasn't even planning to raise her hand.
"I any the second choice, Mister Jin." The president spoke.
