Yuxin's POV

The sun is already up in the sky as we all stood in front of the seniors' building. In front of us stood Mister Jin, Lisa Laoshi, Miss Kim and Jony J Laoshi. The week-long stay in school starts today. I'm still feeling torn about it. But either way, it was mandatory.

"Today's gonna be great!" Keran stated, voice full of excitement.
"I know, right! What do you think, Y/N?" Lin Fan replied.

I turned to them Y/N was standing next to Lin Fan. Dressed in a white shirt with an oversized flannel over it, and jeans. On the ground, beside her feet were her bags. She wore a blank look on her face. Definitely not pleased with the situation while Lin Fan continues to nag her.

"It's... too bright." Y/N mumbled and rolled her eyes.

"Don't be like that!" Lin Fan scolded and pulled Y/N to her side. "Come on. Inhale... exhale... what does the air smell like?" She then asked as they breathed in and out.

"Pollution." Y/N deadpanned, making a grin tug on my lips.

Lin Fan only groaned in defeat as Y/N pushed her off. Lin Fan then turned to Keran and when her eyes landed on me, they widened slightly. She then glanced back at Y/N who is on her phone, before looking back at me and shaking her head. It made my brows furrow, but she just shrugged her shoulders and turned to Keran.

Is she saying I don't have a chance anymore?

The thought only made me let out a small huff. I know well that I still have a chance. I know I do. And I don't give up easily. I know Y/N still have feelings for me, even if it's just the littlest bit. Feelings like this don't easily fade just like that. It's likely that she's just hesitating. Even scared to try things again. And I'll do all I can to make that fade away because I was the one who put it in her in the first place.

"Wow, Y/N. You look ready for bed." Yu Yan spoke up as she pointed to Y/N's flannel. "You wore your pajamas as a top." She teased with a smirk.

"Sorry, you must be lost." Y/N answered as she looked Yu Yan, who was dressed in a blue overall, up and down. "We didn't call for a car mechanic."

Beside Yu Yan, Daimeng let out a laugh, making the other girl turn to her. "Oh, was that funny?" Yu Yan asked with a brow rose high.
"Yan, I told you. You look extra, baobei." Daimeng replied with a grin, which painted the other girl, red in the face.

"All right, is everybody here already?" Mister Jin asked, making us tilt our attention towards him. His eyes panned the crowd and once he was certain, he continued. "First we should let you all settle first. Class A and B girls would be staying together on the fourth floor. Class C, D and F girls would be on the third floor. Class A and B boys on the second floor and the C, D and F on the first. Class Presidents, please guide your classmates and gather everyone here again after 15."

The buzz of excitement is already filling the air. Before long, all of us were going up the stairs. It was on the third floor that the excitement started to die down. They're slowly getting tired. Especially those who decided to bring a lot of things with them.

By the time I stopped a couple of feet from the door, I could already feel a thin layer of sweat on my face. I ignored it and let the others pass fist to check if everybody's here and present. I straightened up as I saw Y/N already walking towards the room. Xie Keyin was beside her, rambling on about their schedule, I guess. I opened my bag and rummaged through it until I was able to pull out the bottle of chocolate milk I bought.

"Good morning!" I greeted as I stepped in front of her. She turned to me and was frozen for a few seconds before giving a single nod and was about to step around me. "Here." I held out the bottle as I stopped her.
