Y/N's POV

I let out a small sigh as I paused from writing. My hand is already red in protest and my fingers are also starting to throb. I let out another sigh as I reached for my bottled coffee. Hell, does this even work on me anymore? I'm still drowsy. I should've gone for the straight black one. I then closed my eyes to let my dry eyes rest for a bit.

"You look like a walking dead." I opened my eyes and threw Lin Fan a glance.
"Thanks." I muttered sarcastically before turning away from her, not minding the concerned look she has on her face.

It's currently our study period. And for the first time in a long while, I'm actually using this time to study. I'm already finishing up my notes for Literature. Last night, I was up majority of the time, sitting on my desk and writing my notes for Mathematics. That's one of the subjects I'm focusing on. Surely, if I ace the test, Miss Cheng wouldn't have any more excuse to fail me.

"Just, how long did you sleep? Did you even sleep?" Lin Fan asked again as I sat up straight again to continue writing my notes.
"Enough." I shrugged and blinked away the haziness that's clouding my vision.

"And how many hours is that?" She queried.
"2 to 3 hours." I mumbled in answer.

I pursed my lips as a faint gasp left her mouth. I should've just lied and said something different. Pretending like I didn't hear it, I picked my pen up again to start writing. I reached for my coffee and drank again. I better ace this test, or all of this would be just stupid and pointless.

"Why the hell did you do that?" Lin Fan leaned closer to me and scolded in a hushed manner.
"I need to catch up with the lessons, Fanfan. The exams are approaching." I answered, eyes never leaving the spread papers in front of me.

"I don't think this is a good idea, Y/N. You're already pushing too hard." She mumbled in concern.
"Relax, I'm still breathing." I huffed with a roll of my eyes.

I guess this whole cutting off sleeping time is taking a toll on me. I could feel myself getting irritated for the littlest of things and the shallowest of reasons. I should just keep to myself for now. Letting out a deep exhale, I brushed my hand through my hair to gather my thoughts and effectively focus on studying. This must be how Yu Yan feels, except for the stress and such.

"I think you should take a break, Y/N. Maybe a nap?" Lin Fan suggested again.
"I'm fine, Fanfan." I answered shortly. There's an underlying tone of warning in my voice that I don't really want to be bothered.

"You sure?" She mumbled softly, making me just let out a hum in confirmation.

I rolled my neck as it's also starting to ache. Sigh, just a few more then I could rest for a while. It didn't help that I fell asleep at the desk last night. I guess that's how hardcore I'm going at this.

"Hey, you!"

I heard Kong Xue'er call out loudly with her usual squeaky voice. God, does she ever just stop talking? She must be talking to one of the class geeks and pushing them around verbally. I am not very much interested in any crap she's about to say, so, I just continued on with what I'm doing.

"Hey, I'm talking to you!" I slightly jolted as a hand slammed in front of me and into my desk. I sighed and looked up to come face to face with Kong Xue'er.

"I'm not." I blankly said.
"Go bother someone else." I waved her off but she just remained standing there with her arms crossed.
"Break up with her." She demanded.

I blinked once and then twice. Are hallucination and auditory impairment effects of drinking too much coffee and the lack of sleep? Either that's true or Kong Xue'er is just plain right crazy. Nonetheless, my face morphed into confusion as I looked at her irritated face. She wants me to break up with someone yet I'm not even dating anyone in the first place.
