Y/N's POV

I quietly hummed to myself as I waited for Lin Fan and Yu Yan to arrive. The bell rang only a few minutes ago. They shouldn't be long. Unless they get held back by the other three. That's very likely since for the past weeks, they've been eating lunch with them. Yes, they. Because I'm either too lazy or too busy to catch them at lunch. But I still eat with them occasionally.

Today, I've asked them to lunch with just us three. It's not because I have some top secret or revelation to share. It's just that we haven't really had the time to just sit and talk for the past days. I haven't even asked Lin Fan about the date yet. It's quite obvious that if the other three are to join us, we won't be able to talk as freely.

"Y/N! We're here."

I looked up and saw Lin Fan jogging towards where I'm sitting. She waved at me as her other hand dragged Yu Yan with her. I waved back at the two of them and waited until they're sitting across me on the table.

"Why'd you want us to have lunch here?" Lin Fan asked as she scanned the area.
"Don't students go here to smoke?" Yu Yan added and they both threw me questioning looks.

I looked around as well. this place isn't really the best, but it isn't the worst either. This is where some of the broken chairs and tables are piled up along with some vandalized ones. No one really goes here, well, except for students who are trying to smoke secretly. I've even heard that some stressed out teachers do too.

Other than that, it isn't so bad. I even found two, decent benches and a table. Which we are now using to our purpose. I would've chosen the garden as a meet up place, but even that, isn't so secret anymore.

"Because I want us three to eat lunch alone and talk. We haven't had the chance for the past few days, haven't we?" I answered them.
"Right, but why alone? What about the others?" Lin Fan asked again.

"Because you haven't told us anything about the date yet! If Keran is here, you'd be too shy." I pointed out and to prove my point, her cheeks flared up.

"I almost forgot that a date happened. It's like they didn't grow any closer, Y/N." Yu Yan spoke up, earning a whack on the shoulder from Lin Fan.

"Let's eat first before you two argue. I'm starving." I grumbled. I reached for the large paper bag in front of us and opened it up to take out what's inside.

"We're having instant hot pot!" I announced in excitement which they returned. Lin Fan stood up and helped me out as well., most probably because she's excited as well.

"Why'd you but so many?" Yu Yan asked as I set the paper bag aside which contains three more.
"It's for the other three. Just give them those later." I answered as I pulled the tumbler from my bag.

After that, we started to set up out food. It would take a few minutes before it's ready but it's honestly worth the wait. While waiting, I looked at Lin Fan and Yu Yan. Yu Yan is acting like her usual self, chin resting on her palm as she stared at the hot pot with a death stare, as if willing it to cook faster. While Lin Fan is quiet, which is unusual.

"So, Fanfan... how did your date go?" I asked to break her out of her thoughts.
"O-Oh, it went great, Y/N. It was fun." She answered and plastered a smile on her lips.

My eyes narrowed at her answer. Is that it? It's confusing, really. I was expecting her to be over the moon in excitement and would talk our ears off with her dreamy stories of how it was to hang out with Keran. Who I might mention, has been her crush for a long time now. I wonder if something happen.

"Huh? That's it? Tell u smore, Fanfan." I said again to get her to talk and tell us more.
"Didn't you guys do anything exciting or fun?"

"Oh, well... We went to the mall and had breakfast there. Then after, we walked around and played in the arcade. It's really fun and we had ice cream after while talking... and ugh, I ended up going home earlier, because I wasn't feeling well." She mumbled in a reply as she fiddle with her chopsticks.
