Y/N's POV

"Just so you know, I don't have any plans on dying tonight." I said as Yuxin opened the backseat and dragged me out of the car.

"Come on, you're over reacting. Don't you trust me?" She asked as the both of us stepped out.

I didn't answer, pretending to ponder about it. That made her turn back to me, eyes questioning and before long, they narrowed and she frowned. But I do admit that I am the slightest bit scared to agree to her idea. Just imagining being in a racing car is enough to make me dizzy.

"Well, that hurt." She commented and frowned as I still didn't answer.
"You can't blame me! You drive almost at 200 and you expect me to gleefully ride with you?" I huffed and rolled my eyes.

"But I'm already an expert, Y/N. I tell you, we won't crash." She reasoned, making me just throw her a blank look.
"We might not die from a crash but I will with heart attack." I muttered and let out another huff.

I looked at her, waiting for what she has to say now. The frown that once settled on her lips is now replaced with a grin. It made my brows furrow in confusion. I'm sure I didn't say anything that would make her react that way. Soon, a small laugh escaped her lips, making me cross my arms and puff my cheeks.

"You always tease me for acting like a granny and worrying about little things. Yet here you are now, doing the same. Aren't you cute?" She practically cooed and before I could even process what she said, she already reached out and pinched my cheeks.

I felt heat spreading like wildfire in my face as she let out another string of laughter. She pinched and pulled at my cheeks, stretching it making it look as if I'm smiling. I swatted her fingers away and rubbed at the lightly throbbing areas as I glared at her amused face.

"Aren't you so amused?" I bit back and reached over to retaliate by pinching her on the arm.

I couldn't bring my mind to linger over the words she just said and I refuse to. May it be because of the fact that I don't want to look into it that much or because of major self-preservation. I just... don't to be misled by any means.

"U-ugh, ouch..." She silently cried out and clutched the arm I just pinched.

My eyes widened and I immediately stepped closer to her to check what's wrong. I'm sure I didn't pinch her that hard.
"Shit... sorry, does it hurt bad?" I gently grabbed her by the wrist that's clutching her other arm.

I lightly tugged on her, wanting to get her attention and an answer. She looked back at me, pink lips pouting. I bit mine in contemplation of what to say next. I opened my mouth to apologize again when she broke out into a smile and giggled.

"Just teasing you, Y/N." She said and slung an arm over my shoulder as I blinked dumbly.
"You're crazy." I mumbled as I pushed her away and she just laughed.

"Can we go now? Please... come on." She tried to convince me again and tried to add up to the effect by tugging on my arm again.

I rolled my eyes at her childish action. I briefly wondered if this is even the same Liu Yuxin I know from school. Obviously not. Though those aspects of her isn't constantly present, they are still there. She still has the I'm-president-blank-face persona, but more laid back these days. I don't know what happened, honestly, but it was a good change.

"Fine. But if I die, I'd haunt you to death." I grudgingly agreed to her with one last threat.
"Tsk... you won't die. Do you really think I'd let that happen?" She huffed and looked at her as if she's offended.

I nonchalantly shrugged in answer as I started to walk towards the passenger seat. There was a slight flutter in my chest as her words lingered in the cold air. This is nothing. Nothing I should be so conscious about. It shouldn't make me... giddy.
