Y/N's POV

I glared at Yu Shuxin as she sheepishly stared back at me. I pulled my arm away from her hold and turned back to Lin Fan and Yu Yan who are still looking at me in disbelief. I haven't really told them about it and it honestly just slipped from my mind.

"You're really quitting?" Keran asked while her face is scrunched up in confusion.
"Well... yes, I've been-" I started to say, only to be cut off by Yu Yan who grabbed me by the ear.

"Okay, we're having a major pep talk. Lin Fan, let's go." She called out to Lin Fan. Her hold didn't loosen up as she started to walk to who knows where, making me grudgingly follow and struggle.

"Yu Yan, you're gonna tear my ear off!" I complained and tried to pull away from her, but she paid no attention to me.
"Yu Shuxin, tell Ella Laoshi that Y/N's gonna be about 10 minutes late." Yu Yan announced as she continued to walk.

Lin Fan followed behind us, looking slightly amused at my current situation. I gripped Yu Yan's wrist to loosen her hold and tried to look back as much as I can. As my eyes landed on Yu Shuxin, I narrowed my eyes on her before pointing at my eyes and then pointing at her.

"Come on, Y/N." Yu Yan grumbled and tightened her hold, making me turn away from Yu Shuxin who is now slightly panicked.
"Yu Yan, I only got 2 ears, you can't take one!" I complained again as I blindly followed her to where she's planning to go.

She just let out a huff and after a few more moments, she finally stopped and let go of my slightly throbbing ear. I rubbed at it to soothe the pain and glared at her. She just stared back at me and crossed her arms over her chest. I looked around and we're just at the end of the hallway, and the others are still visible from where we are.

"Why are you suddenly quitting?" Lin Fan asked as she copied Yu Yan and also crossed her arms.
"Because I wanna focus on my academe." I answered, not bothering to beat around the bush and just straight to the point. I also crossed my arms.

"This is the last year before we graduate. I need to focus to get a good shot at university." I added.
"Yeah, and my shit's made of gold." Yu Yan sarcastically said, making me stop and let out a huff.

"Aren't you planning to take Literature Arts? Being in the Drama Club wouldn't burden you. It might even help you!" Lin Fan said.

"You guys, I just... I think Literature Arts just isn't for me, anymore." I finally sighed out, looking down at the floor.
"I'm thinking of going for Law instead." I added.

"What?!" They both yelled out, making me snap my head up and shush them.
"But that's not your passion! You've been writing since we're in grade school!" Lin Fan reasoned out, making me turn away from her.

"Lin Fan's right. What the hell happened that made you think that?" Yu Yan asked and rose a brow at me. Now it's clear that they're getting suspicious, but I just shook my head and bit my lips.

"I just realized that writing is just my hobby, you know? I think that I would do better at Law, somehow. And it's more practical. Thinking of it, I'm not even that good in writing or the Literature Arts." I explained and it slightly hurt to say those words.

"Who the fuck told you that?!" Lin Fan suddenly yelled out, louder than she did moments ago. I grimaced and glanced at the other side of the hall and saw the others looking at us in curiosity.
"No one told me that, Fanfan. It was a realization." I excused in hopes of getting her to quiet down.

"Now, I don't believe you even more. You used to be so proud of your production and your club absolutely adores you! That's why Ella Laoshi completely trusted you with deciding for the club too!" Lin Fan shot back, making me bite my lips as I felt myself slowly running out of excuses.
