SC 28. Honey

Yuxin's POV

"Rise and shine! Come on, wake up everybody!"

My eyes squinted as a loud voice pulled me out of my sleep. All the lights are already turned on, making me out a small groan and cover my eyes. It took a couple of seconds for mw to recognize where I was and what was going on. I remember that I'm not exactly at the comfort of my own bedroom right now.

I let out another groan and pushed myself into a sitting position. Hands trying to tame down my hair. I could hear the others letting out groans as well along with the shuffling of their mattresses.

"Come on, girls. Pick up the pace. Get ready then head down to the cafeteria for breakfast." It was Lisa Laoshi, standing on the doorway. "Be down in thirty, all right?" She reminded before fully exiting the room.

A groan escaped my lips again. It's still so early. I could see from the windows how the sky was still slightly colored in a dark hue.

Y/N. I looked to where her spot is, but she wasn't there anymore. Her things were also already cleaned up. She must already ne awake even before Lisa Laoshi came. I'm not sure if I was just dreaming or not, but last night, I think I heard her saying goodnight. Or maybe my mind just made it up. But I was almost certain it was real. She still cares.

"Hey, Y/N... can I borrow a hoodie?" Lin Fan asked out as she folded her blanket. She must not have noticed that Y/N's not here. "Y/N?"

I watched as she turned to Y/N's spot and once she saw that she wasn't there, she freaked out, making me shake my head and turn away. "Oh my god! Y/N's been kidnapped!"

"Hold your horsed, woman. Maybe she's just outside watching the sunrise or whatever cliché stuff." Xiaotang grumbled and threw a crumbled-up tissue at Lin Fan.

"But she's not a morning person! Definitely hates sunrise and bright things. She got kidnapped." Lin Fan gasped out.

"It's just stress, Fanfan. For sure Y/N's just outside." Keran answered and walked up to her. "We should get ready too. Lisa Laoshi might get impatient." She reminded and led her girlfriend outside.

I gathered my things to follow them so I can get ready. It wasn't really a long wait to use the bathroom as there were a lot of space and we didn't take too long. Only thing was that the water was freezing cold. And I guess it was helpful in waking us up. Soon, we were all on our way to the cafeteria for breakfast.

"Oh, Y/N's there!" Lin Fan announced, making me also turn in instinct.

There, I saw Y/N going down the stairs with Yu Yan, Xu Jiaqi and Kong Xue'er. Lin Fan jogged towards them and began firing questions after question to them. I felt Keran nudge me before she also walked towards them. And I took it as my signal to follow suit.

"Where were you guys?" Keran asked out.
"On the rooftop chilling." Yu Yan answered and stretched her arms.
"And Y/N willingly went along?" Lin Fan muttered, voice full of disbelief.

"It's fine. I was already awake." Y/N shrugged and a pleasant expression was displayed on her face. "We should eat." She then said before continuing to walk.

"You're strangely pleasant for having been awake so early." Lin Fan commented but Y/N just shrugged again. "And why didn't you guys wake me up?" Lin Fan then complained with a huff.

"Kiki tried waking you up." Kong Xue'er spoke up, her tone low and even hesitant.
"Yeah! And you ended up smacking me on the face!" Xu Jiaqi pointed to her face as she glared at Lin Fan.

"Oh, really?" Lin Fan's reply came as an awkward laugh. "You know what? We should go and eat."

She then proceeded to catch up to Y/N and walk beside her. I am fine with just being at the back. At least Y/N wasn't driving me away. At least I could still be close to her, this way. We got into the cafeteria and got out trays and I ended up sitting right across her. To her right was Lin Fan and the other side was Xu Jiaqi.
