Y/N's POV

It's like a permanent frown has been etched into my face, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that's truly the case. From my peripheral view, I saw the president who is pretty much in the same state as I am. I still stand by my view that this is all her fault. Freaking hell.

I mentally groaned in exasperation, not daring to let Mister Shang hear and have him give us a worse punishment. We've been walking for a while now and we're already out of the senior building. Mister Shang walked in front of us, leading the way while we grudgingly followed. It wasn't long before we officially stopped right in front of the Southshire High's multipurpose gym. Mister Shang haven't spoken yet, but I could already feel the dread creeping up my back as we walked in.

A quite expected, yet still horrendous sight welcomed the three of us. The huge expanse of the building is littered with trash, a mixture of used plastic bottles, towels, the basketball balls and lord knows what else. Mind you that it also has a stench of sweat, making me grimace and cover my nose.

"You two are staying here and cleaning. No one is to leave until the bell rings." Mister Shang firmly said before he turned to the president and I.
"You should deem yourselves lucky that this is just the punishment. By then, I expect every single thing to be at place before lunch." He spoke again, as if already sensing that we're about to protest.

And it's probably bound to have happened as my lips are already parted and ready to argue or at least compromise. I would rather clean the field that this place. It reeks of sweat for Pete's sake! It's like a bunch of chimpanzees have come to play instead of students. Discarded and sweaty pieces of clothing are scattered on the floor. I didn't go to school for the purpose of cleaning after students.

"No protests, but's or complaints. Test me and the both of you will be cleaning the changing rooms. The boy's one." Mister Shang said, making my complaints immediately die in my throat.
"You know what, Mister Shang? This is probably the best option, a slap on the wrist. I'll start now." I said, flashing a fake smile even though I'm cursing in irritation inside.

"Good, get to work." He said before turning and walking out the gym door. It's crazy how I can almost picture the light fading as he walked out, leaving is in a very much awkward, tensed and irritated atmosphere. I glanced at the president and what do you know? She's already staring back at me. Her usual blank face and almost onyx cold eyes, burning holes in my head.

Deciding to be mature and not let her get under my skin, I rolled my eyes and turned away from her. I walked towards the far side of the gym, close to the bleachers and away from her, who remained rooted in the center. I placed my bag on top of one of the chairs and rummaged through it for my headphones, since I love myself too much to turture myself in bearing with the president's presence. With it, I also took out my phone and connected them.

I wore the gray headphones over my head and played the playlist I usually listen to when I'm cleaning my room. Might as well make this tolerable if I'm gonna be here for almost an hour. I put my phone in my blazer's pocket before getting to work. As I grabbed crumpled up plastic bottles from the ground, I caught sight of the president just standing, right there where she was in the first place when we arrived.

"Yah! Aren't you supposed to be the teacher's pet between the two of us? You heard Mister Shang. Pretty sure you're not deaf." I called out as I stood up from where I was crouching down, clutching water bottles in my arms. She seems to snap out of it and turned to look at me, albeit, her expression remained the same.

"Look, I don't know about you, but the boy's changing rooms is the last thing in the universe that I wanna clean, much less, even enter. So, get your crap together and start cleaning your damn side of this gym." I snapped at her, matching her blank stare.
