Y/N's POV

As the days led up to the school's annual festival, all of us is also getting busier and loaded with tasks and responsibilities. There are no classes anymore as even the teachers are busy with preparing. Hectic is one way to describe this week. The only break you can have is lunch and eventually, time at home.

Of course, everyone is starting to tire out. I mean, who wouldn't, right? But the thought of the upcoming festival kept us working. We have to make sure that everything's in order and perfect for that week. After all, neighboring schools are coming to visit. Southshire High strives to impress.

"I think if I wrap it up in tape, it'll be just fine." I spoke up as I looked at the others.

"Sure, that would definitely work." Jiaqi said and crossed her arms.
"Really?" I mumbled and she glared at me.

"Heck no! Come on, we're talking about your knees here. Not just a broken stick you can tape together and voila! Problem solved!"

I rolled my eyes and let out a huff at her. "My knees aren't broken. They're just a bit swollen."

"Kiki's right, President Lee. You have to rest so your condition doesn't get worse." Shuxin spoke up.
"And you know, swollen rhymes with broken." Keyin said, making my brows knot at her.

"So?"

"Nothing... it just rhymes." She shrugged and smiled sheepishly.
"I'm a rapper. It's in my blood to rhyme words."

"Whatever..." I mumbled and turned away from her. Her chaos meter could rival Lin Fan's.
"Anyway, I could still practice the dance. It's not like I can't stand or walk. I'm perfectly fine."

"Nope. You heard what Mrs. Wu said. No extreme activities for a while until the swelling subsides." Jiaqi said with finality.

I glared at the three of them as they gave me innocent smiles. I crossed my arms as I stared up at them. They're taking this way too seriously. Shuxin batted her eyes as I narrowed mines at her in warning. It was in the middle of practicing for R&B All Night that my knees started hurting.

I initially waved it off but the pain only became more unbearable until I couldn't even bend them anymore. And now, here I am. The three of them are kind enough to help me go to the clinic and get checked up on by Mrs. Wu.

"Look, my knees aren't even that swollen anymore. And it doesn't hurt to move at all." I reasons, but still, they remained indifferent.
"No chance, Y/N. Either you stay here in peace or else..." Jiaqi trailed off, a thoughtful expression appearing on her face.

"Or else what? You can't do anything." I tested and with a victorious smirk as she failed to give an answer, I started to move.

"Hey, wait, President Lee! You can't, you'll get worse!" Shuxin said as she tried to stop me from putting my feet on the floor.
"Or else... or else we'll call for President Liu!" Keyin shouted out.

I momentarily paused at that. Confused. Why did Yuxin suddenly became a part of this conversation? Why would they even bring her up? And as if Yuxin can do anything to stop me. Taking the moment of my silence, Shuxin successfully pushed me back fully into the bed.

"Yes. Stay there or we'll call Liu Yuxin." Jiaqi stated
"Go on then. It's not like she can do anything." I replied.

"Don't be so sure. Once she knows your knees are swelling, no chance she'll let you out of that bed." She tutted. I opened my mouth to argue but she waved a finger in front of my face.

"Evidence number one. Remember when you slipped the other day and she refused to let you practice for the whole morning? Evidence number two-"

"Fine! Goddamn it! Just don't call her." I cut her off with a defeated huff. I let out a groan and slumped back into the pillow behind me. I rolled my eyes at the smug looks on their faces. They caught me off guard with that one. I didn't think of it.
