Y/N's POV
Sleep. For the past few days, that's what I've been missing and sacrificing for the sake of all my works and responsibilities. These days, I'm never in one place for too long to settle down. Three performances with two different classes, working with a lot of different people for the play and constantly pushing myself out of my usual introverted shell. It's fucking exhausting.
Now, I'm slumped on my desk. Well, not mine since I switched places with Zhang Dean to sit and work with Yu Yan for some compositions like Ella Laoshi said. It's more like Yu Yan's doing the work as I multitasked taking a nap and eating slices of apple.
"Y/N, what rhymes with tried?" Yu Yan asked and I didn't make an effort to move from my position.
"Fried. Like, 'So hard I have tried, but my brain's just fried'." I grumbled in answer before munching on another slice of apple as I continued to rest.At my response, I heard her let out a laugh which is accompanied by Xiaotang who's sitting on my other side. I let out a huff. It's true. At this point, I feel like I'm just in autopilot mode. Actually, the fact that I'm able to do this right now is one hell of a surprise.
I'm sure that at any moment, someone would be calling for me again. It might be Ella Laoshi, who'll make me do tasks for the club, Jiaqi who'll excuse me to practice with them or anyone else from Class A who'll do the same.
So, yeah. This limited time is practically sacred to me and I'm determined to spend it wisely. I'm brought out of my thoughts at the sound of my phone notification. Someone has sent me a message. I let out a small groan as I'm forced to sit up straight to read whatever it is. It was from Keran.
My brows furrowed as I looked up to spot her in the room. Like usual, she's seated between Yuxin and Lin Fan. Why the hell would she message me when we're in the same room? I put the phone back in my pocket and returned to my previous position. I very well know that my neck is bound to hurt and I'm going to regret doing this, but oh well.
I closed my eyes with the intention of really dozing off this time. It's not like there's anything for me to do. We still don't have any classes. I clenched my eyes as my phone continued to ping with one message after another. And with those, my annoyance also grew. I sat up and checked.
They're all still from Keran. I looked up and saw some of them also looking back at me. They probably noticed the notifications as well. My eyes searched for Keran and once I spotted her, I gave her a glare.
"Lu Keran, I swear to god. I'll fling this to you." I threatened as I held a random book from Yu Yan's desk.
"But Y/N..." She tried to reason and looked at me sheepishly.
"Do I look like I'm kidding?" My lips formed into a thin line as I looked at her blankly."Why are you even messaging Y/N?" Yuxin interjected and gave Keran a questioning look.
"Hey! It's not like what you think, Yuxin. Totally!" Keran answered and she scrambled to get up from her desk.My brows furrowed as I looked at her, wondering what this all could be about. My brain is honestly so tired that it can't properly comprehend anything anymore. What does she have to say that she can't utter out loud? I caught Lin Fan also looking at me and I gave her a shrug to show that I don't know.
"I just... ugh, I need her help with something. Yeah!" Keran spoke up and nodded.
"In fact, I'll be going now."Before any of us could question her any further, she took her chair and started dragging it towards us. I continued to look and watch her weirdly with my eyes narrowed. I crossed my arms as I followed her with my eyes until she set the chair in front of me.
"Go away, I'm resting." I dismissed her but she just pouted and let out a huff.
"I need to tell you something important." She reasoned as she sat down.
